Starting on Monday\, November 19th you can drop off your new or gently used coats to any member of EmpOwerU or schedule a drop/pickup by emailing us at fayempoweru@gmail.com\n\nWe will be coordinating at least 2 drop-off points in the community for your convenience. The award presentation will kick off the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Heroes Homecoming Centennial of Service Speaker Series. The speakers for this series begin at 2pm and include: Extreme Survivalist and veteran\, EJ Snyder\, award-winning journalist & author Kevin Maurer\, and founder of Operation Tattooing Freedom\, Lewis Hunt. \nThe Hometown Hero Award was created to honor a local citizen that contributed to the nurture and development of the relationship between the City of Fayetteville and the military. General James J. Lindsay\, U.S. Army\, Retired\, will be the first recipient of the Hometown Hero award Saturday\, November 10\, 2018 at 1pm at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum.

Hosted by the Junior League of Fayetteville\, the Holly Day Fair is a one-stop holiday shopping event that draws an average of 22\,000 attendees and over 200 vendors. Show-goers have an extensive selection of unique handcrafted and manufactured products to select from including the best in holiday decorations\, handmade crafts\, stylish jewelry and clothes\, children’s toys\, specialty food items and much more. The Hope Mill Ole Mills Days Festival is a two day festival that begins on Friday October 26th on Trade Street with the Street Dance. Then the next day\, all of the other events are all part of Ole Mill Day which is at Hope Mills Park. The rest of the events take place throughout the day on that Saturday October 27th.
