4 Easy Ways for Businesses to Support the Bloggers Who Support You

During the past few years, my blog has become a platform to help promote and highlight the small businesses within my city. It has become one of the things I love most about being a Blogger. I have the freedom to support the businesses within my community through the influence I have as a Blogger.

I’ve had many small business owners ask me how to make the most of the support they gain from Bloggers. Here are the tips I give plus a few ways to return support to the bloggers who support you.

Inform

Establish a relationship with the local Bloggers within your community. Follow, engage and interact with them. Learn what they write about the most. Does it fit into the framework of your business? For example, if you’re a restaurant – are they a food blogger?

Reaching out and getting to know Bloggers who write content based around what you sell, produce or provide will open the door to collaborations between you as a business and them as a professional blogger.

Keeping them informed about your business, it’s goals and what you need in the form of support will help your business become one they want to support.

Acknowledge

Acknowledge the support a Blogger gives. Share the content they produce with your audience. Give links and tags back to their blog. If you see the post they wrote about your most recent event or product on social media it’s as easy as double-tapping that Instagram heart and clicking the Share or ReTweet button.

Sharing a blogger’s work acknowledges the support they’ve given you as a business. It also gives your customers a new resource for reviews and feedback on your business.

Create A Press Tab

Another way acknowledge a Blogger who creates content supporting your business and establish a bit of press for yourself is to create a Press Tab on your business site.

Include the title and link to the article or post written by Bloggers promoting and reviewing your business. My very first addition to a Press Page was for Social House Vodka.

Not only was I completely flattered to see my site listed but it offered me the opportunity for an entirely new audience and source of traffic for my blog. To this day I still see traffic through their link and that was back in 2017!

A Press tab on your site is beneficial to you as a business by creating a ‘brag page’ of sorts for your business that shows off the thoughts and reviews of others. It is also an amazing way to offer support for the bloggers who support you.

One of our local businesses, Floating Shanti, has done added a section called “As Seen on” which showcases those local bloggers, media outlets and press that has been published about her business.

Endorse

Another way to return the support to Bloggers is to endorse them for what they do. If you’ve worked with a Blogger who has successfully promoted your business, product or brand spread the word. Tell another business about what they do and how.
The research, attention to detail, quality of content and work they put into what they do is more than a hobby – it’s their business. Your endorsement can help them grow their business and establish new partnerships and collaborations.

Hire Them

Speaking of businesses. Bloggers have evolved to a point where much like your small business they are producing high-quality content and providing a service with value. Many have taken their ability to impact social media, influence a market and support small businesses to the next level. Creating their own small businesses while providing a much needed service.

If you’re looking for a way to build your brand, extend your reach and promote your business consider hiring a professional blogger to help you make those goals your reality.
