I’m 40 years old!! 4-0 ya’ll! I have been celebrating all month. I’m sad to see the month end but I still have some pretty awesome plans ahead for 40 & me!
My Birthday Month has been amazing! I’ve had adventures, new experiences, made new memories and new friends. The start of my 40th year has been one of my best birthday’s so far! Here’s just a bit of what I did this month:
My Very 1st Concert: Janet Jackson’s State of the World Tour
Thanks to my amazing friend Andrea of Good Girl Gone Redneck I had the chance to bring in my 40th Birthday Month with my very first concert! I know: what took me so long?!? I have no idea but trust me this will NOT be my last concert!

The concert was at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park in in Raleigh. Little did I know this venue has many top rated performers at budget friendly ticket prices!

Family Fun Day
On my actual Birthday (August 6th) I spent the day having a bit of Family Fun at Dave & Busters! We placed games, shopped and ate all day. It was the perfect way to celebrate with the people I love the most. Thanks to my Kiddies and Hubby I checked a few things off my Birthday Wish List!

The last big thing that happened this month was my very first professional photo shoot! Kia and I are both big on imagery and knew we wanted photos together to help promote the workshops.
I don’t think I’ve smiled and posed this much in forever! It was so fun and I can’t wait to share the images with ya’ll!
It’s Not Over!
Although my birthday month is at it’s close my year is still brand new and I’m excite for what 40 holds for me. I expect even greater things! I am looking forward to more adventures, travel, food fun and memories made with friends new and old.
At 40, I feel wiser and more in tune with who I am as a person. I’ve finally found the peace that comes from realizing the only person I need to make happy is me – everyone who truly loves me will be happy because I’m happy.
