This is our 1st Official Link Up for Ask Away Friday where we connect with other beautiful and lovely Blogger friends to exchange 10 questions and get to know each other better.
Today I’m linking up with the lovely Mrs. Chevalley a/k/a The Real Housewife of Caroline County and she came up with some really awesome questions for me to ponder over…
-
What horoscope sign are you? Do you think it fits?
- LEO ~ I honestly don’t follow horoscopes or their meanings beyond know what mine is, so I looked it up (LOL)
- Leo is very independent but they need something to control and someone to admire them and appreciate them. They are fully capable of being greatly successful on their own but they are much happier if they have an audience and a following of people who look up to them. They would prefer not be alone. (source)
- Based on this I think it does fit in some aspects yet not in others me rather well because I am very much a Control FREAK but I don’t see myself looking for admirers or an audience. I actually enjoy being alone. I guess it all depends on individual interpretation.

Are you a good cook?
- I would answer yes. I have dishes that I prepare very well and that my family enjoys eating. Of course I’m not going to fool myself and say I’m a gourmet chef or even an accomplished foodie type. Now I LOVE LOVE to eat, taste and well honestly anything that involved me putting food in my mouth. As for cooking or prepping it…I do that only because most times I have to do that in order to eat it.
-
What’s the most exotic place you’ve been?
- Hawaii! We lived their during my Hubby’s enlistment in the Army. I lived their for 2 years total and my 2 youngest Kiddies were actually born there. So we always joke around and say they are ‘Locals’. 😀
-
Happiest moment as a parent?
- The birth of each of my Kiddies. I know that’s the Duh-Duh answer but it really is. Each birth experience was so different with each of them and I can remember them so well that the happiness is distinct and precious to me just like each of them.
-
What’s your favorite TV show?
- Oh My….this could become a very long answer. I am a bit of a TV addict. So, I will only name my most recent addictions. SCANDAL, Teen Wolf, Copper (BBC), Luther (BBC), Elementary, Sherlock (BBC), Once Upon A Time, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland…seriously my list is almost endless…LOL
-
Favorite activity to do with the family?
- Curling up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and a good movie…lately we started pushing the couches together and having a Double Couch Slumber Party on the weekends…the Kiddies love it (even though Hubby and I usually wake up with feet, arms and legs in our faces) and its a great way to be together as a family.
-
Are you a sports fan? If so, what teams do you support?
- I actually don’t watch any sports at all and neither does my Hubby. I know we’re probably an anomaly of sorts but we never really have.
-
What’s your favorite smell or scent?
- Old Spice (the Original Scent). Hubby has worn it since forever and every time I smell it I think of him. When he was deployed he actually sent me a t-shirt sprayed with it sealed in a large zip-loc baggie and whenever missing him was unbearable I would take a sniff and think of him. 🙂

Have you ever had a kiddie tantrum in public? How did you handle it?
- Once that got out of control. It was one of those “Is this seriously my Kiddie” moments. I calmly took him and his screaming wiggly bootie (it was my youngest he was 2) out of the cart, told my Girlies we were going back to the car for a moment. I left the cart right there with all my items in it. We walked back to my truck and honestly I think my calmness scared him because by the time we got back to my truck he was totally calm and saying sorry. I told him he was never to act like that again. He said ok. We went back inside and that was that. It has never gotten to that point again. My grandmother used to tell me that when you always scold a child it stops having an impact. They expect it and aren’t impressed by it anymore. I think the fact that I reacted the opposite to what he expected threw him off a bit. LOL

What’s your favorite part of blogging?
- I think my favorite part of Blogging is having an outlet for my thoughts and people to share them with. I have always been a journal keeper and a writer but with Blogging I actually have input and response from other people. I think it makes it more engaging and makes me feel less like I’m talking to myself…LOL
