Without further adieu let’s kick off Week 11 of #AskAwayFriday!!!

For Week 11 of #AskAwayFriday I almost thought I may not make it.  I was having a difficult time connecting with and confirming Swapping Buddies for this week and was getting so close to the wire I wasn’t sure if I would be able to pull it off.  That’s when the lovely Jodi from The Noise of Boys stepped in and became my #AskAwayFriday Hero! I was able to walk away with a pre-scheduled Buddy for next week – *bonus

“JODI, IN REAL LIFE. BLOG ABOUT THE DAILY ADVENTURES

(OR MISADVENTURES) OF A STAY-AT-HOME MOM & WIFE,

BEING RAISED BY HER FAMILY.”

Doesn’t that just tell you’re in for some great and funny content?  Trust me you won’t be disappointed.  Jodi writes about the day-to-day happenings with her and her 2 active and at times very funny little boys.  I love how the last part is how she is being raised by her family’.  I think we all know that sometimes being a mother is a process you learn as you go, right?

Are you ready to see what questions Jodi had for me?  I know I am.

Big city/small town girl at heart?

I was raised in the Bronx BUT it was the more suburban area so it was very close knit.  We lived in the corner house and my grandmother knew all of our neighbors by name.  I took piano lessons from the lady next door and my best friend lived in the house on the other side.  We used to talk to each other through our bedroom windows.

Growing up like this definitely made me appreciate that small town feel even though I lived in what most would consider by reputation to be a big city.  Now that I actually live in a real life small town I love it.  I enjoy visiting my hometown in New York but I always end up longing for the slower pace, friendlier faces and less congested feeling of a small town.

How did you find your way into the blogosphere?

Hmmm.  Short answer: research.  I speak on how I entered the Blogging world in several different posts (here, here and oh wait here too) but I ‘found my way’ by researching and trying to make connections with Blogging Communities that I knew would offer me the support I would need to get started as a new Blogger.  This meant women who didn’t mind sharing their knowledge and expertise without fear of somehow taking away from themselves.  I was so happy to find several such communities and realizing that being a Blogger is truly All About Support.

Do you have a tip or trick for finding balance in home/blogging?

I wish!  I haven’t found my ideal balance in blogging just yet.  I am almost there though.  I seem to be getting better by keeping my posts, link ups and blog hops on a schedule.  I also make sure I maintain a presence throughout my Social Media networks as much as possible.

I think the best way to find balance in your home is to work together as a team if your married.  You can always accomplish more if you communicate and set up goals that you can accomplish together.  Learn how to divide the tasks so that neither of you feel overwhelmed or over-used at the end of the day.

Also, know your strengths and be willing to admit your weaknesses. I know that I am not the best when it comes to math BUT I am great at organizing and keeping track of things.  So my Hubby will give me what needs to get paid and how much and I will be sure that it happens and that we have clear and accurate records of it being done.  In turn, my Hubby doesn’t exactly excel at keeping the Kiddies schedules and activities in order but my OCD and organizational skills help a lot with that as well.

Choose a song, movie title or book that would describe your life and why?

I would definitely choose Lovely, Love My Family by The Roots. It’s funny because I just found out that Mrs.AOK and I share a love for this supposed Kiddie song. I think this song is such a great and quick representation of how I feel about my family.

Sometimes when I am sitting by myself,
Those quiet moments when not with no one else,
I’m mesmerized by all the many good things in my life.
I think about the time when I was younger,
And the older that I get, the more that I feel wiser.
With the love of friends and family,
Get stronger, and it carries me on through.

Pick an actress to portray you in a movie, who is it? Why them?

Ok, I just spent like 20 minutes looking for a specific picture of Tia Mowry and I can not find it.  Yet that is who I would have portray me in a comedy or light-hearted movie.  I feel she is hilarious and her facial expressions and quirkiness is very similar to my own.

If it were a dramatic movie I would have to go with Alicia Keys.  I feel she has such a great depth to her talent in acting that hasn’t been fully exposed and I would love to see her as me 😀

5 years from now, what does your life look like?  How has it changed most?

In 5 years my Teenager will be done with or almost done with College and deciding whether to continue with another degree or move on into his career.

My Oldest Girlie will be…dare I say it in the double digit age range.  Aaaah!  So I am sure we will be having some brand new Momma daughter experiences especially since she is my ‘mini-me’ in personality traits. Everyone whisper a word of prayer for me now…LOL

My Baby Girlie will be right behind her and I’m sure testing her boundaries as much as possible.  She tends to be my little stubborn and rebelious one so I am anxious to see her in 5 years.

My Baby Buddie Boy will be almost 7 and I’m sure still my sweetheart of a boy.  I will go to him when I need to hear the ‘I Love Yous” and collect on my hugs and smoochies (a Momma can dream right?)

Hubby will most likely be out somewhere riding his bike and cruising the best roads he can find.  I know he will always be in the pursuit of what is best for us as a family and our future.

As for Me, I hope to be a Momma who’s Kiddies can look at her with pride and see a person they want to become.  I want to have an income source from something I love to do.  I don’t want a job I want a passion.  I hope to be working with or in a field that helps kids see the best in themselves and achieve it.  I also want my Blog to be successful and for MrsTeeLoveLifeLaughter to become a common name among the Blogger Society for great content, loyalty to readers and most of all honesty.

You are vacationing on a private island for 1 week, and can bring ANY 3 items with you- what did you bring?

Well since it is supposed to be a vacation I guess I should opt out of bringing my trusted iPhone and Laptop BUT I could probably only part with the laptop.  So let’s see 3 items:

iPhone

Debit Card

EOS Lip Balm

Favorite family dinner (or restaurant meal)?

I’ll give you guys both 😀

Family Dinner: Chicken Parm w/Rice and Garlic Bread #YumYummy

Restaurant Meal: ANYthing Outback
What is the funniest parenting moment you can recall?

Oh my goodness!  With so many Kiddies it’s hard to single out one moment.  Hmmm…let me see if I can think of one that involved them all.  Watching my Kiddies during any of our many family Dance Competitions.  They each have such a unique style of dancing that is absolutely suited to their personalities.

My Oldest Girlie is all legs and she dances with her entire being.  My Baby Girlie has a dancer’s body and when she feels the music she feels it in her soul.  LOL  She dances with such emotion to even the funniest song.  No when it comes to my Baby Buddie Boy he is the show stopper of the group.  He will dance across the tnire floor make and exit and then reappear through another door of the room.  He can do it all!  Break dancing, gymnastics and contemporary…LOL  Even my Teenager gets in on the action showing his moves every now and then.

These nights are the best and definitely some of my fondest memories of my Kiddies and we always end up laughing.

Favorite quote or motto?

“Nothing beats a failure, but a try.”  My hubby says this all the time and my family has adopted it to be our motto.  We try never to say we can’t do anything until we have tried our best first.
