This week I had the chance to exchange some really awesome questions with Kenya from KG-Edits.  I met Kenya on Twitter during an #SITSSharefest and I am so excited to get to know her and her site a bit better. Kenya is a woman who took her passion and made it her job and trust me you will want to know her story. So, once you check out my answers to her questions be sure you head over and see her answers to mine.

AskAwayFriday With Kenya From KG-Edits

Now when I say Kenya did her research I mean she did it! I guess it comes as part of being a great Editor but it also made for some really great questions:

Questions With KG-Edits for AskAwayFriday

1. If you could have one super power, what would it be
(besides being a mother, which I’m pretty sure is a super power lol)
Wow!  I thought this would be a super easy question when I first read it but I’m actually having a few issues picking one.  I would say flying but I would have to tote all my Kiddies on my back somehow or rig some sort of carrier up because hey, let’s face it I rarely go anywhere without them so that won’t work.
Then I considered mind reading but somethings that are in people’s minds need to stay right there. LOL
What about invisibility?  At least with that I would be able to hide, disappear or go unnoticed whenever I want to.  But do your clothes disappear too like Violet from The Incredibles or do they just fall in a pile like Fantastic Four’s Invisible Woman, Susan?  I think I would need my clothes to disappear with me.  Nobody wants to see me reappear sans outfit of the day! πŸ˜€  So there, I ‘ll take visibility with conditions πŸ˜‰

2. I read that you’re a DIY beginner. What would be your dream project?

I think I may be in DIY Pre-K.  Yes, I am that bad.  Somehow whenever I attempt DIY it always ends DIWrong.  I would love to be able to do an amazing Gallery Wall with personalized frames and such (is that even DIY?) OR one of those beyond awesome mason jar projects like a glitter/sparkle one πŸ˜€

Read This Too  #AskAwayFriday W/Penny From The Real Housewife of Caroline County

3. Has being so interactive online through your blog and other social media platforms made you less of an introvert?

Hmmm…not really.  LOL, you would think so right but somehow typing my words is a lot easier than approaching someone.  Now  can hold a conversation but my issue usual comes in initiation.  If you don’t come talk to me I’m pretty good just sitting or stalking standing there.

4. Are you into horoscopes?  Just wondering

if you fit the Leo profile (both my parents are Leos)

Nope.  I know I’m a Leo and that the symbol (is it even a symbol) is a lion.  Beyond that I don’t really know any of the traits and such.

5. Since training for The Color Run, have you considered participating in other runs?

Training? I’m not sure I would call that what I’ve been doing.  Yes I ran the treadmill with the Hubby to make sure I could even make 5K but that’a about it.  I would love to train a bit more intensely and do another run in the near future.  I think I am doing The Color Run more for the fun and experience of it after all it is The Happiest 5K on The Planet! πŸ˜€

6. Fellow Alicia Keys fan here. She inspired me to start up piano lessons again.

Do you think you might get back into playing one day?

Yay!  Isn’t she awesome?  I watched her Oprah’s Master Class episode the other night and it just reinforced my love for her as a person and her talent.

Play again? I’m not sure. I played from around age 5 to 11 and it was always such a chore.  My Grandmother had me practice non-stop and entered me in every recital she could find which I hated.  Not because I couldn’t play (I placed in a few of them) but because my fear of the audiences and that spotlight was like torture to me but she thought I was just being stubborn.

I’m not as bad with that anymore but I don’t know if I even remember much so it would be like starting from scratch.  Something to think about though.

7. What’s the hugest fashion risk you ever took?

(maybe wearing a new color, or a style you usually wouldn’t go for, etc.)

I actually took my biggest fashion risk this Easter.  I have never worn a pair of white pants before and I decided to risk it!  Not only did I wear white jeans but I wore white skinny jeans! Now I can’t wait to design another outfit around them.  I loved how they made me a feel and I think they looked pretty good. I even shared this look and a bit of my Fashion Style discovery of my Fashionista style with Rachel from Can’t Google Everything for her Real Moms, Real Fashion Series!

8. Super stoked to see you own a Nikon, the gawd of all cameras lol.

What would be your ideal photography gig? Wedding? Photo shoot?

Me Too!  I am definitely so glad to be a Nikon Girl…

Nikon Girl Reflection

I think my ideal Photography opportunity would be an event of some sort. I love capturing moments that may otherwise be missed because of what is going on around people. I can’t wait to get a few shots after The Color Run!

9. Laughter is a part of your tagline. What’s the last thing that made you laugh?

My Girlies today in the car…they were playing a game they called “Text”

AskAwayFriday - Text Game
As I sat there listening to them I was cracking up inside and a bit out loud too. They were literally saying ‘SEND’ at the end of every part of their ‘text’. Is this what we have come too? My Kiddies are so high tech they have taken a game similar to telephone and made it into a verbal text conversation? LOL

10. What’s the last book you read?

Still reading.  LOL, I am in the middle of Insurgent.  My Teenager made me promise to read the entire series it before we see the Divergent movie together.  It seems like these days finishing a book takes longer and longer because I am always in the midst of something else.

Wow!  Did Kenya have some really great questions? I told you guys she did her research and I had a blast answering each one. Head over to her place and see how she answered a few of my questions including how she and I share a spirit of sarcasm πŸ™‚

I love white jeans, and I recently bought a pair of white pants that I think are going to be my go-to for dressing nicely in the summer. I always have a Shout wipe in my purse though – white plus me usually equals a stain at some point!

I am beginning my love affair with them for sure. I should maybe invest in a pack of those as well. Luckily wear was stain free πŸ™‚

I've never worn white pants either. I'm so scared to because I just know that something horrible will happen while I'm wearing them. All my white shirts get ruined so I can only imagine what my white pants would look like.

On another note…you're totally rocking that Easter outfit. CUUUUUTE!

Haha! I had that fear but then I was like aaah Risk It! LOL I\’m glad I made it through the day and came home with white pants just like I left πŸ˜‰

      Thanks!

Oh you look absolutely gorgeous in that white skinny jeans! I only own one white pants (and it's my mom's actually, haha). I don't usually wear it because it gets dirty easily. Hehe! Now funny because before I've read your answer from question 1, I already thought of flying and invisibility as my superpower faves and we're the same! Haha!

Have a great weekend Tiffany! πŸ™‚

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Thank You Rea! I was debating on wearing them for nearly 2 weeks! LOL Trust me I was keeping my youngest at a distance most of the day because he sits on my lap and his shoes..aaah! LOL Yay! We can be super hero partners maybe? πŸ˜€

I LOVE THIS SWAP! I actually laughed a few times! Like your answer to the superhero question! Girl, you rocked those white pants! I could not do that I would have cheetos dust or crayon marks on me in less than 5 minutes, but I love the look!

Thanks Jodi! It was a lot of fun, Kenya gave me some really awesome and unique questions which helped a lot. Yeah, I need my clothes girl πŸ˜‰ Thanks! Please I gave the whole \’don\’t touch Mommy\’s pants\’ speech before we even left the house…LOL My Kiddies thought I was crazy!

Love the outfit! I do not feel like I have enough photography skills to invest in a DSLR yet. But when I'm ready will be taking recommendations from everyone. I think your girls"text" game is too cute! I think blogging may have made my introvert tendencies worse…not better. But I'm like you, if someone else starts the conversation then I'm fine.

Thanks Carla! I didn\’t thnik I did either but my Hubby has the theory you get the best of something and learn to use it so that\’s what I\’m doing. Trust me I stick to manual when I can\’t figure anything out but I am learning and a lot faster than I thought I could. They also have some really affordable options out there. When it does happen for you be sure to check out CraftyWife.com – she has an amazing Photography lesson/challenge that helps a lot!

It was cute, they definitely have no issues using their imaginations and that\’s a good thing. Yes, it\’s just that first introduction that always seems to be a hurdle for me. I\’m trying to conquer it.

I love your look with the white skinny pants, you look great. I think it would be fun to be invisible for a day. I love watching OWN and Master Class is one of my favorites. I love to hear peoples stories and you can always learn something good on Master Class.

Thanks Sonya…it took a bit of Hubby encouragement to get me out the door ut I\’m glad I listened. Invisibility is definitely a plus πŸ™‚ I usually catch the OWN things on DVR but they are always so interesting to me and yes you do get to learn something.

omg! Your girls cracked me up!! I used to have white pants…I LOVED them! They were dressier and I only wore them for parties/going out…which makes NO SENSE because they'd always get spilled on. πŸ˜‰ I didn't care…I was hot in them. πŸ˜€ Never give up on DiYing! You can only get better with doing more! πŸ™‚

LOL…:D Glad I could bring a bit of laughter to your day! I love mine now too…I\’m already on the look out for a different way to style them. They are definitely a \’wear at your own risk\’ item but so worth it for the look and even the way they make me feel! Aaaah DIY… I try I try… πŸ˜‰

I am scared of wearing white pants because they will get dirty so easily. But my regular jean capri's weren't immune yesterday. I was watching a baby for a few minutes yesterday while the praise team was rehearsing. The baby was eating gold fish while I was holding him and I ended up with some on my pants. No biggie, Im used to babies/toddlers.

Love the white pants! I've been wearing a pair for a couple years now but am a little scared they won't look so great since I put on a few pounds. They are so classy and bold. Really says I know how to look great and you do!

DIWrong – Love it! Haha! I feel that way about many of my projects I attempt!
I'm also a blogging introvert. I find blogging doesn't make me less introverted, it just makes it easier to be an introvert. I sometimes think the world is geared for extroverts, and blogging and social media make that world easier to navigate for an introvert.
I just finished up the Divergent series a week or so ago – great reads!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

LOL…that’s me! πŸ˜‰ I agree, blogging can encourage my introvert tendencies and in some ways make being that way a lot easier. It is creating some opportunities for me to venture out though. I am going to my first Blogger FTF (face-to-face) ad I also plan on attending my first Conference in the fall. Two things I never would have attempted before Blogging. I hope to final finish up the series soon, I would love to watch it with the Teenager before he leaves for College…LOL

I am terrified of white jeans. I am sure that either a. aunt flow would come or b. I'd fall in the mud. Bravo for rocking them! I'm not sure I'd ever be brave enough to try!

I think I really need a physical goal, like an event to push things up a notch! I got the special power question too! I went a different direction. My MIL gave me a pair of white jeans and they have become my default jeans. I actually look and feel good in them.

    1. MrsTee Avatar

That could definitely help a bit. I saw! I loved your choice…of course i would have still had conditions πŸ™‚ They are a really great base piece for any style. I hope you are having a great Friday April, thanks for coming by πŸ™‚

LOL DIWrong!!!!! And your girls are so cute playing a text game in the car. Reminds me of the silly games my sister and I used to play. I can only hope that my children can entertain themselves like this when they're older and not have to rely on iPads. Oh, and I'm a Canon girl. No hard feelings right? (And you're right, she did great research to get great questions!)

    1. MrsTee Avatar

It\’s real girl! When my Kiddies come home with craft based projects for homework…I cringe! LOL Yeah i guess we had some made up games when I was a kid too, I was so tickled at them yelling out SEND at the end of every thought πŸ˜€ Now don\’t get me wrong they all have their tablets and gadgets but I put limits on that so they still need to use their imaginations …it\’s so necessary and funny πŸ™‚ Hmmm…Canon? I don\’t know…LOL No, DSLR friends are great even if they aren\’t Nikon Girls πŸ˜‰ Didn\’t she? They were all new and so fun to answer!

  15. ssgannett Avatar

LOL! I love the invisibility with conditions! If that were my power that would for sure be one of my conditions! I love the white outfit, you are rockin it! I can't wear white, I am much too pale. That texting game is hilarious! When my oldest was still at home, rather than holler over his music, I would text him or send him a facebook message! LOL! My hubby is reading lil miss' first Hunger Games book, but I have to say that as much as I love to read, I am waiting for D-man to bring the movies over! LOL! Have a great weekend, Tiffany!

LOL Yes, I am almost ready to just give in a see it but I promised the Teenager. We read Hunger Games together as well. I had more time then I think this time it seems to be taking me forever!
