This week I had the chance to exchange some really awesome questions with Kenya from KG-Edits. I met Kenya on Twitter during an #SITSSharefest and I am so excited to get to know her and her site a bit better. Kenya is a woman who took her passion and made it her job and trust me you will want to know her story. So, once you check out my answers to her questions be sure you head over and see her answers to mine.
Now when I say Kenya did her research I mean she did it! I guess it comes as part of being a great Editor but it also made for some really great questions:
2. I read that you’re a DIY beginner. What would be your dream project?
I think I may be in DIY Pre-K. Yes, I am that bad. Somehow whenever I attempt DIY it always ends DIWrong. I would love to be able to do an amazing Gallery Wall with personalized frames and such (is that even DIY?) OR one of those beyond awesome mason jar projects like a glitter/sparkle one π
3. Has being so interactive online through your blog and other social media platforms made you less of an introvert?
Hmmm…not really. LOL, you would think so right but somehow typing my words is a lot easier than approaching someone. Now can hold a conversation but my issue usual comes in initiation. If you don’t come talk to me I’m pretty good just sitting or stalking standing there.
4. Are you into horoscopes? Just wondering
if you fit the Leo profile (both my parents are Leos)
Nope. I know I’m a Leo and that the symbol (is it even a symbol) is a lion. Beyond that I don’t really know any of the traits and such.
5. Since training for The Color Run, have you considered participating in other runs?
Training? I’m not sure I would call that what I’ve been doing. Yes I ran the treadmill with the Hubby to make sure I could even make 5K but that’a about it. I would love to train a bit more intensely and do another run in the near future. I think I am doing The Color Run more for the fun and experience of it after all it is The Happiest 5K on The Planet! π
6. Fellow Alicia Keys fan here. She inspired me to start up piano lessons again.
Do you think you might get back into playing one day?
Yay! Isn’t she awesome? I watched her Oprah’s Master Class episode the other night and it just reinforced my love for her as a person and her talent.
Play again? I’m not sure. I played from around age 5 to 11 and it was always such a chore. My Grandmother had me practice non-stop and entered me in every recital she could find which I hated. Not because I couldn’t play (I placed in a few of them) but because my fear of the audiences and that spotlight was like torture to me but she thought I was just being stubborn.
I’m not as bad with that anymore but I don’t know if I even remember much so it would be like starting from scratch. Something to think about though.
7. What’s the hugest fashion risk you ever took?
(maybe wearing a new color, or a style you usually wouldn’t go for, etc.)
I actually took my biggest fashion risk this Easter. I have never worn a pair of white pants before and I decided to risk it! Not only did I wear white jeans but I wore white skinny jeans! Now I can’t wait to design another outfit around them. I loved how they made me a feel and I think they looked pretty good. I even shared this look and a bit of my Fashion Style discovery of my Fashionista style with Rachel from Can’t Google Everything for her Real Moms, Real Fashion Series!
8. Super stoked to see you own a Nikon, the gawd of all cameras lol.
What would be your ideal photography gig? Wedding? Photo shoot?
Me Too! I am definitely so glad to be a Nikon Girl…
I think my ideal Photography opportunity would be an event of some sort. I love capturing moments that may otherwise be missed because of what is going on around people. I can’t wait to get a few shots after The Color Run!
9. Laughter is a part of your tagline. What’s the last thing that made you laugh?
My Girlies today in the car…they were playing a game they called “Text”
As I sat there listening to them I was cracking up inside and a bit out loud too. They were literally saying ‘SEND’ at the end of every part of their ‘text’. Is this what we have come too? My Kiddies are so high tech they have taken a game similar to telephone and made it into a verbal text conversation? LOL
Still reading. LOL, I am in the middle of Insurgent. My Teenager made me promise to read the entire series it before we see the Divergent movie together. It seems like these days finishing a book takes longer and longer because I am always in the midst of something else.
Wow! Did Kenya have some really great questions? I told you guys she did her research and I had a blast answering each one. Head over to her place and see how she answered a few of my questions including how she and I share a spirit of sarcasm π
