#AskAwayFriday You Asked...

You Asked…

Jhanis – The Vanilla Housewife

If you have to give something up right now, what would it be?

I would give up my need to be in control. I am a planner, thinker and worrier which are not great combinations. It tends to hold me back from having that crazy spontaneous kind of fun so I think I would definitely be willing to give that up – even if only for a little while 😉

Christy – Sweet and Savoring

What’s something you’ve always wanted to learn but never have?

I’ve always wanted to learn how to speak another language. I took Spanish in High School and loved it but it just never seemed to stick in my brain! I could totally understand when someone spoke to me but ask me to answer…

Read This Too  #AskAwayFriday – It’s Been That Kinda Week…

Umm Eh…Hola?! Me llamo es…Ummm..

Yeah, that was about as far as it went.

What’s stopping you?

I would love to make another attempt at it sometime but if my 17 year old brain couldn’t handle it I’m not sure my 35 year old brain can either (especially after 4 Kiddies have depleted my brain cells a bit).

Of the four seasons, which one could you live in forever and why?

Aaah…this is a tricky questions because it would totally depend on where I was living for that season.

If I were in New York I could drive in the Fall forever! I love the crisp air and the fashion…getting to layer and wear all my favorite boots, sweaters and hats!

If I were in Hawaii it would be anything but Winter because Winter in Hawaii is the rain season…Eh! Yes, rain not rainy because when I say it rains like a downpour nearly everyday in December I mean it RAINS! So that I could do without but every other season in Hawaii is lovely because it never get too hot because of the ocean winds and it’s not a humid heat either.

If I were in North Carolina I would say the Spring because it is warm enough to tolerate but not at the unbearable summer heat where you just want to stay in the house all day for fear of the hot air outside that will take your breath away.

She Asked…

Carol – Battered Hope

What are some of your favorite movies?

OMGoodness! I am going to have to condense this list or it could get a bit ridiculous.

Mary Poppins

The Color Purple

Bedtime Stories

The Pink Panther

The Great Gatsby

Finding Neverland

The Wedding Planner

Ramona & Beezus

FROZEN

All Things MARVEL {Animated and Other…}!

They Asked…

Lisa – The Golden Spoons

You have $1000 & 24 hours all to yourself. What would you do?

*Insert Girlie Squeeling HERE*

I would totally take a trip to my nearby outlets and gave a ini shipping spree (yes mini…lol) I would also treat myself to a mini makeover with a mani/pedi and hairstyling. Lastly I would have dinner and a movie with the Hubby (I can never leave him out ?).

Rabia – The Liebers

Would you rather never brush your teeth again or never brush your hair again?? LOL!

LMBO! My hair. I could definitely clip it short and sport a Halley Barry look but my teeth??!?! Oh no! I can’t stand bad breath and I definitely couldn’t be the one having it! Yuck!

Read This Too  What Day Is It Again? #AskAwayFriday

Favorite seasoning to add to your dinner: salt, pepper, or something else?

Salt. I am so bad with this though. I add salt without even tasting things first. I know bad, I’m working on it 🙂

Echo – Domain of the Mad Mommy

Which cartoon would you rather watch on repeat, Max and Ruby or Caillou?

Oh My Goodness Echo..they are BOTH torture! If I had to choose the lesser evil I would say Max and Ruby, at least there is less whining involved. LOL

Stacey – This Momma’s Ramblings

If you could live in a different era…What era would you choose and why?

The 20s for sure! I love the dress, music and entertainment! So amazing! I would love to have a 20s themed Birthday Party at some point 😀

Thank you ALL for the amazing questions and for vein gym heroines this week when I need you all the most! XOXOXO

This was fun because all the questions were very different!! 🙂 I have had the $1,000 for a day a few times and your money doesn't go as far as you think?! It's also really hard to find clothes that you like when you have money because you're trying to get as much for your buck as you can but everything seems to not fit well enough! I'd have to stick with the pampering and date night. 😉

It really was! Oh trust me I would find a way to shop…I have no issues there…LOL It\’s a skill… 🙂 Thanks for coming by and I hope you had a great weekend.

For me, the language would be French. And I'm a total salt girl. it's kinda sick. I even got a birthday gift of salt (various Hawaiian flavored salts, and amazing) two years ago. This will be a weird question but…do you also have low blood pressure? I do and I think that's why I love salt. Everyone I know with LBP loves salt.

Aaah….what a beautiful language! It just sounds amazing even without knowing what\’s being said 😉 You know what I\’ve never had that checked but that would make sense. Thanks for the info I will have to look into that…

This turned out well and it is a great way to still participate without a buddy. 🙂

If I could give up one thing, it would be my constant nagging pain. It is draining but since that isn't possible, I will make do with what I am given. I am a firm believe that God won't give you more than you can handle. Sometimes, I want to question this but I know that I can't see the bigger picture.

It really did! Thanks for the idea…

I can\’t even imagine. I have had scoliosis since childhood so a back ache is almost normal for me…I think I notice it being gone more than I notice when it\’s here. My grandmother has fibromyalgia and she had it before it even had a name so I know it can be a struggle physically and emotionally. I pray you strength and admire your positive outlook.

Oh, I am definitely a planner, thinker and worrier too! PTWs unite! I love languages and also took Spanish in high school- it's helped when I've traveled to Italy for sure. But I would learn them all if I could! Love your answers for the seasons question- I was in Hawaii in the month of December and I remember the rain! Oh man, mixed feelings about that trip.
And would you believe I still haven't seen Frozen? I think it's only getting more popular as time goes on.

Ok, either I need a nap or I am having a moment. I totally had to read that twice to get the PTW…LMBO So sad. Your awesome because I barely made it out of my High School Spanish..thank God for extra credit! 😀

Yes, that rain is nuts! I had an umbrella in the car ALWAYS and hoodies for the entire family all through winter.

Girl get that DVD…we love it and I do mean the kiddies and Hubby and I.

  5. Drea Avatar

Your answers were so much fun to read, Tiffany! Everyone had great questions! Now I think when Corey was younger my husband and I had an argument about Max & Ruby vs. Caillou. And I hope for the life of me that the baby doesn't ever take a liking to watching Caillou. OMG his whining made me want to scream! Lol!

Fun questions! I would have to go with brushing my teeth over brushing my hair, too! I don't really like my hair so if it were just in a ponytail every day or cut really short, I could deal with it. Furry feeling teeth, never!!!

Yes and I had so much fun answering them.. 🙂 Exactly hair I can deal with yuck mouth…not so much! LOL

  7. Beth Avatar

I wish I could learn Spanish as well. But like you, at this age, I'm not sure how much it would stick. I briefly thought about trying to learn it with my kiddos when my youngest was a preschooler, then realized I was barely keeping up with a preschooler and a baby, there was no way I was going to try to do it in two languages!! 🙂
You got two toughies – the hair/teeth and Max & Ruby/Cailou? I'd have to go with teeth, too. I can finger comb my hair! And the cartoons – ugh. Can't stand either! Ruby is so bossy and Cailou is so whiney!
    Have a great weekend, Tiffany!!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

My 1st grader comes home speaking Spanish and I am totally envious…she tries to teach me a few words here and there so I\’m trying 🙂 Haha! I thought of Rosetta Stone a few times but I\’m not sure I wanna make the investment…

I never even thought of finger combing! Yes! I just can\’t have fuzzy teeth…LOL

Yes those cartoons are the worse! LOL Have an awesome weekend and thanks for coming by Beth 🙂

I also LOVE Marvel and autumn is my all time favorite season 🙂 And it sure is nice of you to share that $1k with your hubby *hehehe* Thanks for this great post!

Yay! A fellow super hero junkie 🙂 You should see my family when we get a new DVD or a new movie is released… we\’re nuts. I am trying to squeeze in XMen ASAP… I feel like I\’m betraying them because I haven\’t seen it yet!

Yes, I can\’t leave out the Hubby.. 😉 Thanks so much for coming by Galaxia and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I hear a lot of complaints about Max & Ruby and Calilou, and thankfully I haven’t seen either. I don’t even know what channel it’s on. I’d love to visit New York in the fall. Shooting to go next year. Oh yes, I would actually prefer to cut my hair short but my husband isn’t having it!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Count yourself lucky! Those are two of the most annoying shows…only second to Barney! LOL New York in the fall is amazing…the leaves and tress…Love it 🙂 I hope you make it…

Oh don\’t get me wrong my Hubby hates my hair short (I loved my Halle Barry when I had it – before we met) but I think he\’d take it over furry teeth! LOL 😀

Ah the need to be always in control. I’d like to lose that too. Over the years I have learned that it’s more fun and def lighter on the brain if we allow people to help us plan/decide/work on things. Thanks for answering my question!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Isn’t it a mess?? LOL I’m trying to be better though…I designate tasks a bit more and try to actually step back a bit. Thanks for such a great question!

  12. Rea Alducente Avatar
    Rea Alducente

I'm totally with you in giving up control! I get too control freak to the point that my husband could no longer take it, LOL! I have to remember that he is the leader of our home, heck! I'd love to learn another language too! I studied Nihonggo/Japanese back in college and got good grades but I already forgot a lot about it! Haha!
My recent post I Can't Believe I Did That..

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Control comes in handy for planning and such but when it comes to just being in the moment and having fun for the sake of fun. I am still a work in progress. Luckily my Hubby excels at that 😀 Japanese! My son learned it while we were stationed in Hawaii and still remember a bit.

  13. irkedmommy Avatar
    irkedmommy

Haha! I would pick Max and Ruby too. I am also terrible with salt. I will salt stuff as soon as it is in front of me. I know enough Spanish to find a bar, order a drink and find a bathroom!
My recent post Almost Wordless Wednesday!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

I just can’t take Cailou (did I spell that right?) his voice is like nails on chalkboard to me..LOL I am trying my best with the salt, I at least taste stuff first 🙂 OMGosh I don’t think I remember bathroom…LOL

  14. tamaralikecamera Avatar
    tamaralikecamera

I got that seasons question this week too!
I would definitely choose hair brushing! You could still wash it! Never brushing your teeth would ensure that you wouldn't have teeth for very long.
I love that everyone pitched in here! It's fun this way.
My recent post One Crazy, Wet & Wild, American Summer.

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Really!?! I can’t wait to see what you picked.
Exactly! I like my teeth…they help make my face..LOL
I am so grateful… I was in Buddyless limbo…it was a lot of fun too!

  15. ssgannett Avatar
    ssgannett

LOL! This was awesome! I totally agree with giving up the control, which for me doesn't work with perfectionism! LOL! I think that despite my child addled brain, I learn better now. I actually taught myself fractions. Oh yeah, I could not give up the brushing of the teeth! That would drive me nuts! I hate to admit that I would go with Caillou…only because lil man used to love it and I remember how his little face would light up when it came on! LOL! But I have been through an 8 hour marathon of Barney and survived! LOL! Have a great weekend, Tiffany!
My recent post #AskAwayFriday With Sherri from God Life Happy Wife!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Wasn’t it!?! So much fun! I know where to come when I have an empty date from now on… 😀

HAHA..yeah control can be a real hinderance at times.

Fractions! I think my brain would just shut down if I tried that..I am dreading when my Kiddies hit the hard stuff in school. Google will be my best friend!

OH NO…Not Barney! He is my nemesis! I DON\’T LOVE HIM At. All.

😀 Have an awesome weekend Stacey!
