In the midst of blessings there are also struggles.
I feel like I’ve been living this truth to the fullest the past few weeks. I’ve been blessed with new opportunities, exposure and connections. Yet at the end of each of these blessings there seems to be a new difficulty – a new struggle.
I’m not going to say it’s been easy. I’ve gotten frustrated. Shoot I’ve gotten pissed. I know strong word but honest just the same.
I just want to enjoy the blessings minus the stress of the struggles that seem to tail them.
Until today. Today I face yet another one of those tag-a-long struggles and for whatever reason instead of having my normal hissy fit I took a minute.
I walked away, came back and found a way to work around it. As I did I started thinking about how each recent struggle had been stealing the joy from the blessing it followed. Not because it had to but be sure I let it.
Life is a balance of good and bad. It just is. No one can I’ve a life of all blessings. There would be no lessons to learn or testimonies to tell. Our struggles and difficulties help make us the people we need to be. It’s through them we find strength, courage and the ability to adjust.
So in my own attempt to remember this I thought I’d take a bit to remind you as well.
Blessings will come but struggle will too. Never let yourself be consumed by either. Enjoy the blessings, be thankful and appreciate them. Acknowledge the struggles, be aware and learn from them. Still above all – love in a way the you can benefit from them both.
