I have to admit when Andrea of Good Girl Gone Redneck and Kate Kelly of Life Of A Ginger said we were having our first NCSocial Meet Up at a Salad place I was a bit skeptical. I mean how fancy can salad be? Right? Well let me tell you CHOPT Creative Salad Company gave me a lesson in salad that taught me – it’s not just lettuce!
Not Your Mom’s Salad!
That’s right folks salad doesn’t have to be the old lettuce, tomato and dressing most of us grew up with. CHOPT Creative Salad Company takes your taste buds on an international adventure with each bowl they create.
We were treated to tastes of each of the three salads chosen to represent Thailand on this Destination’s menu.
My favorite was definitely the Crunchy Thai Market Salad – the satay chicken tasted amazing. I’ve never had hearts of palm before but I definitely don’t plan on this being my last taste.
Start From Scratch
On top of the amazing salads featured on the Destination menus, CHOPT has a menu with ‘First Time Favorites’ like Mexican Caesar, Kebab Cobb, Santa Fe and so many more. PLUS you can make your own salad creation from the selection of different greens, topping, meats and so much more!
I decided to go with the Mexican Caesar with everything except the jalapeño peppers – I’m a punk when it comes to heat. This salad was an amazing upgrade to the normal caesar I always get. I loved the extra kick of spice from the Mexican Caesar dressing and the added crunch of the crushed tortilla chips.
Chopped To Order
Wait! Did I mention that there is a whole crew who ‘chops’ your salad to order? I think this is one of my favorite things CHOPT has to offer. I’m a bit of a picky salad eater – I can’t do huge chunks of lettuce. Well I didn’t have to worry about that at all today. They can chop small, smaller and smallest in just a few swift moves.
Just Sweet Enough
CHOPT juices are never sweetened with white sugar, only agave or honey and let me tell you I could taste the difference. It was the perfect balance of refreshing and delicious.
VIP Treatment
Manager Rachel made sure we had all the background and insight we needed to know what makes CHOPT stand out from all the rest. I loved how we had our own little space within the store and how cute the samples were.

Chopt is one of my FAVORiTES for salads! They had a store next to my last job and I would get lunch from there all of the time.

Oooh there aren't too many places you can find heart of palm, and I can't think that I've ever had that on a salad! I love the juice selection with no added sugar and how many salad options are available – I'll have to check it out!

With the number of salad bars popping up lately, I really look for the high-quality establishments who offer variety. This place absolutely fits the bill 😀 I'll definitely be keeping this in mind and will also share it to my friends who are over there 🙂

I need Chopt in my life! I love eating salads, but lets be honest here, a regular ol' salad get old after awhile and it is essential to change it up so you don't get bored. Hopefully they'll open a location closer to the middle of the United States instead of all the way over on the coast!

Oh yum! We have a similar place like this at our mall but this one looks way nicer. I wonder if we have a Chopt near our house. I will have to check this out. I love going out to eat and finding nice fresh dishes like this.

THIS is totally MY kind of place! I so wish we had one locally! I am a salad FANATIC always trying new ways to make new flavors, put a twist on my salads. I would be in heaven here!
