The D23Expo 2017 took place in Anaheim, CA a couple weekends ago and I’m still a bit salty about the fact that I missed it once again this year. If you’re like me and among what seems like the only group of folks who missed this 3 days of Disney Magic this post is for you – and me! Thanks to the power and privilege of Disney Press Releases I have a chance to share what we missed!
I first discovered the power of the D23Expo when I stumbled across the hashtag last year and stalking it over the entire 3 day event. This year was a bit more of the same and it did not fail to have me green with envy for everyone who was there in person – did I mention I didn’t go? Okay. Just making sure.
In addition to being dusted with all the Disney Magic floating all around a D23Expo there were also a few pretty cool announcement made about what’s to come for Disney, Pixar and Disney Toon Studios throughout the rest of this year and into 2018.
Upcoming Films
COCO
#PixarCoCo – In Theaters November 22nd
In theaters Nov. 22, 2017, COCO introduces Miguel, an aspiring musician whose family long ago banned music. Desperate to prove his talent and follow in the footsteps of his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz, Miguel makes a fateful decision and finds himself in the Land of the Dead, where he meets his extended family and charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal). Together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

I know that this is a movie I will definitely want to share with my Kiddies. I can’t wait to see the story of Miguel come to life with the amazing music of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez in the song Remember Me.
This movie reminds me a lot of Disney’s 2014 Release The Book of Life which my entire family loved and I’m sure we will come to love Coco just as much!
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure
#OlafsFrozenAdventure – In Theaters In Front of Coco November 22nd
That’s right ya’ll our favorite summer lovin’ snowman is getting his own featurette! Olaf returns in Olaf’s Frozen Adventure directed by the Emmy®-winning team Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton (“Prep & Landing”) and produced by Oscar® winner Roy Conli (“Big Hero 6”).
Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna, introduced fans to the new FROZEN holiday featurette, OLAF’S FROZEN ADVENTURE. Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, surprised the crowd with a live performance of the all-new original song “That Time of Year,” written by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.

I’m already excited about Coco but now I have a reason to be early so I don’t miss Olaf’s Frozen Adventure!
Incredibles 2
#Incredibles2 – In Theaters June 15th 2018
It’s. About. Time. Yup. I said it. Incredibles has been one of my family’s most favorite movies for years now and we’ve been wondering when the story of the family of super heroes would come back. Well I’m glad to say the wait is almost over!
I know I can’t be the only person who has been waiting to see how this movie will expand on the Super Family’s adventures as well as focus in a bit on the story of Edna – the Super Suit Designer everyone wants to know!
https://youtu.be/GxjsWlUTz7U&w=675&h=380
Pssst! I may or may not be a bit excited to see how Baby’s powers begin to develop even more – what about you? What do you think his powers will be? Will they be revealed this time?
Ralph Breaks The Internet – Wreck It Ralph 2
#RalphBreaksTheInternet #WreckItRalph2 – In Theaters November 21st 2018
Yay! That’s all I could say when I saw this announcement! Ralph is back and this time he’s taking his wreck it skills to the internet. I can’t wait to see how this plays out . . .
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ follow-up to 2012’s WRECK IT RALPH leaves the arcade behind, venturing into the expansive universe of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s not-so-light touch. Outcasts-turned-BFFs Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz are reuniting with Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer) and Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch). Filmmakers revealed a new character, Yesss, an algorithm who plays an important role in Ralph and Vanellope’s journey within the internet. Golden Globe®-winning actress Taraji P. Henson (“Empire”) lends her voice to the character. “Yesss is a new character who owns the website Buzzaholic,” said Henson. “Yesss knows about everything cool and on trend. And she does spell her name with a triple ‘s.’ Yesss is very savvy, smart and sexy.”

I hate when I forget or miss things too. At least the emails come though with great info. I love Disney.
Oh I didn’t forget. I just didn’t have the chance to go – yet. I hope to be able to attend in person sooner rather than later.
OMIGOSH! I am looking forward to ALL of these movies! So many amazing things are coming up from Disney. I am especially looking forward to the Incredibles sequel.E
I know exactly how you feel Eva!! I need to add release dates to my calendar so I know I’m there for each 😀 Especially Incredibles!
Frozen 2! Wow, let the frenzy begin again. LOL! This November and 2018 looks promising for kid flicks.
I know right!?!?! I know where my Kiddies will be that day … 😀
Looks like it was a great event, great recap of everything! All of the new films look really good!
Yes Kasi it does. Disney doesn’t know how to do things small and that’s what I love the most! They do right? I’m excited for what’s ahead for sure!
This is exciting event. Wish we have Disney here in the Philippines, hahha.
Oooh I wish you did too Blair!! Maybe some day 😀
Man I feel ‘Coco’ will have me crying in the cinema like ‘inside out’ did. Between that & Incredibles 2 I’m going to have to borrow someones kids to take!
Right!?!? That’s how I felt about The Book of Life and yes Inside Out got to me too! Haha.. I would go see Incredibles 2 all by myself if I had too – I’ve been waiting on that one for a long time! 😀
I’m not a big Disney Fan but I would be down to go to D23, just on GP. From what you posted and what I saw on the news, it looks like it would be a lot of fun.
See – D23 even draws in the not so fanatic fans… LOL 😀 I know it’s tons of fun just from my friends who have attended and I can’t wait to be there myself! Thanks so much for coming by TY! xoxo
I’m excited about Incredibles 2, “woman, where is my super suit?”
I didn’t see a Toy Story 4 coming, but the kids are excited.
Yasss Girl!! That was my favorite line ever!! I can’t wait.. I didn’t expect another Toy Story either but I’m anxious to see where they go with that one for sure.
This looks like the BEST expo I’ve ever seen! I love Disney, and it looks like there were so many great things being featured. How fun!
Right!!? I mean who wouldn’t want to be there!??!? I still have this on my list of things I NEED to do at least once 😀 Thanks so much for coming by Andrea!
Wow, so many amazing things to wait for! I really want to see Ralph Breaks The Internet! I’m sure it will be a lot of fun!
Right Ave!! It’s going to be awesome! I can’t wait to see how Ralph takes on the internet… I wonder if Felix will be able to fix it? 😉
Disney, Marvel and Lucas Films have so many great movies coming out. I love staying up to date with everything and getting behind the scenes.
Yes!!! They have an awesome year lined up for sure!!
These always look like so much fun. D23 has been on our bucket list for years. I would love to take my family here someday. So many great movies coming up! We can’t wait.
Don’t they Coralie? It’s addictive to watch all the fun so I can’t even imagine how I’ll be once I get the chance to attend one. Talk about Fan Girl overload! 😀 Yes, this year is definitely going to be an awesome one for movies – so excited!

Yes!! I can’t wait to get to one!! Yes, that’s going to be awesome!!
A couple of the daily vloggers that I watch went to the D23 convention. I had never heard of it. Although I don’t know a whole lot about Disney. I’m just now getting into animated movies in my adulthood. As a kid I didn’t know them for some reason.
I first discovered it last year and have been stalking everyone who goes ever since! I’m a true Disney fan though so that may be the source of my obsession…LOL Well if you ever want a few suggestions – just let me know 😀
I am salty too! I have always wanted to go to a Disney event! I am super excited about what is coming up though!
Right?!?!? I like NEED this in my life!! Yes, this year and next are going to be AWEsome!
