In Your Eyes
In your eyes I’ve changed ever so slightly
In your eyes my choices are never made rightly
In your eyes my smile doesn’t shine nearly as brightly
Yet your eyes, they see me in sight blurred by judgment
Your vision is no clearer than looking through pavement
So how can what you see be a trusted as a
true statement?
You’ve turned your back on me
then wonder where I’ve been
Asking others why I’ve changed,
become distant even
But how can you see me
when you don’t even listen?
So when you look at me next time
ponder on these things
To every action there is a reaction
and to every wound there is a scar
So when I look in your eyes what do I see?
Friend, Foe or who you truly are?

Friend, foe or who you truly are? Wow! That's a powerful question that can lead to all sorts of answers. I love it.

Thanks April, it can be so hard at times to see people for who they are showing themselves to be when you still love them yet seeing the truth is so much better in the long run.
