To some, it is simply clinical the life source that keeps us
To others, it is something to fear its sight alone causes them to repulse
Then to those who know Him not, they may see it much differently
Yet in my sight, it is a symbol of what He did for me
He shed what was so precious to his life here on earth
He gave it up willingly far before the day of my birth
As it dripped down that cross my debts were washed away
The blood of my Savior shed for sins I could never pay
The red of its color is pale to compare
To the white of the robe, I’ll receive when I meet Him up there
