When I saw today’s prompt I almost jumped for joy! Here goes…
Start:
Have you ever felt as if the path you were following
was one cleared out for someone else?
As if you were walking in the footprints of the person in front of you
instead creating your own?
This is where my story begins…
I was being lead but not learning how to follow.
Constrained to a set direction…
Not given the freedom to explore my own.
Instead of learning my own TRUE path..
I was simply walking within the shadow of the maker of the one before me.
Then came the time where I didn’t want to follow anymore….
I decided to set out on another path.
No longer did I follow in footprints no now I made my own…
Yet in making them I strayed too far.
I came back on the graces of redemption and forgiveness…
They gave me the chance to return…
It was in my return I found my TRUE path.
It wasn’t in her shadow but by her example…
By her guidance and learning I would see my TRUE path was where He always intended me to be.
This is where my story continues…
Stop.
Today my Five Minute Friday thoughts serve as a short introduction to my new series Finding My TRUE Path…

I love this line, "It wasn't in her shadow. It was in her example." I would even say it wasn't her path you were to follow – it was the example of how she handle her path. Trying to get a few of my teens to understand – I want them to follow God's plan in their life – not my plan for their life – but they don't quite believe me. I like how you explained this – it allows me to explain it better to them. Thank you!
Yes!!! You're exactly right…I didn't want to give too much of the story away tonight 🙂
I'm glad this will be a help to you and you children in anyway.
Thank you so much!
