I’ve lived in Fayetteville for nearly 12 years now and every single year I’ve heard the rumors of this amazing event called the Holly Day Fair. This year I had the chance to experience it for myself and all I can say is WOW! Okay well that’s not all I can say but it pretty much sums it up.
Gifts
Walking through the doors of the Crown Expo Center was like walking into Santa’s Workshop. Despite knowing it was November I felt Christmas all around me. The aisles of red and green tinsels, decorations and gifts were packed full of shoppers searching for the perfect gift for the perfect friend, family member or even themselves.
I tried to be strategic in my approach tothe seemingly endless aisles of shops, stores and crafters. I looked from side to side trying to decide where to start first. Handcrafted art work, Leather Handbags and Wallets, Candles, Tee-Shirts, Tumblers of every size and design surrounded me. It was as if someone dropped me off in the middle of a shopper’s dream!
No matter what type of gift you’re looking for the Holly Day Fair is the place you can find it.
Crafts
Unique. Isn’t that something we all hope to find when searching for the perfect gift during the Holiday season? Well the crafts you’ll find at the Holly Day Fair and just that – unique in every way. As I walked up and down the aisles I spotted everything from quilts to pottery. Each piece was nothing you would find in an ordinary store. You could tell that every one of these crafts was made from the heart. Many of the vendors offer on sight personalization giving you the opportunity to make sure your gift will be one made just for you!
Food
There’s food folks! I’m not talking a pretzel and hot dog. No there is an entire half of the Expo Center dedicated to food that will not only fill your belly but make your heart happy too. The food of the Holly Day Fair isn’t limited to the vendors who are there with Hot Chocolate, Fudge, Jerky, Wine, Honey and more! Nope. You can also enjoy a meal from Firehouse Subs, Honeybaked ham Cafe, Taste of Greece and so many more PLUS Food Trucks!

The Holly Day Fair began 52 years ago as the idea of a group of women to host a craft show as a fundraiser for St. John’s Episcopal Church. Now known as the Largest Holiday Gift and Craft Show in Eastern North Carolina with over 200 vendors and 22,000 shoppers this once small fundraiser now bosts the achievement of raising over $5 Million back to our community.
