When Healing Hazel approached me about the possibility of doing a Review for their Amber and Hazel necklace products the first thing I thought was “Aren’t those only for babies?”. After a bit of research I realized that Amber and all of it’s amazing healing properties is for adults too!
Not only does amber have a history for being able to relieve stress and discomfort in teething and colicky babies but it also has the same and more properties for adults. After a bit of research online I found many testimonies that Amber has given relief in the frequency and intensity of migraines as well as stress in adults. This is when I knew that I definitely wanted to give Healing Hazel and their amber necklaces a try.
It was recommended that I try a necklace since you should wear amber as close to the pain you are trying to have an impact on. I received my necklace in no time and got to wearing it. As a migraine sufferer I normally have anywhere from 3-4 migraines a week. Since wearing my amber necklace I have noticed a decreased in the frequency and the intensity of my migraines. Instead of 3-4 it is more like 2-3. To some this may not seem like a big difference but as a frequent migraine suffers even one less day of pain is amazing.
I also fell in love with the necklace itself. Even though I don’t normally wear necklaces on a day-to-day this cherry colored hazel necklace definitely grew on me. Healing Hazel also offers several different shades of amber including honey, cognac and a combination of the two shades. I chose cherry because it just caught my eye!
I do want to say: I did not find any scientific proof of amber and it’s properties BUT in my honest opinion after wearing it for a little over 2 weeks I have experienced a difference. Not only in the frequency but the intensity of my migraines. It it the placebo effect? I’m not sure but if it means less days spent in bed hiding from sound and light by simply wearing this necklace…then I’m all for it!
Now of course Healing Hazel also offers many options for babies as well. They have necklaces, bracelets and even anklets designed specifically for a baby to wear. I don’t know about you but I am that mom who thinks everything is hazardous to my child until proven otherwise. Well, Healing Hazel has take many steps to be certain that their products are safe including obtaining Certification stating this…
Parents are sometimes concerned about their baby or toddler wearing a necklace. We can assure that all our baby and kids’ products are completely safe. We have entrusted the task of verifying our baby and kids’ necklaces to a private laboratory accredited by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Our products pass all of the CPSC’c regulatory testing.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is an independent agency of the United States government. The CPSC regulates the sale and manufacture of more than 15,000 different consumer products, from cribs to all-terrain vehicles. CPSC fulfills its mission by banning dangerous consumer products, issuing recalls of products already on the market, and researching potential hazards associated with consumer products.
C.P.S.C. standards states that necklaces worn by children 12 years old and younger must open under 15 lbs of pressure or less and our necklaces have passed the test easily!
