The Kanki Experience
I must admit the first thing I think of when I hear Hibachi style cuisine is the flaming grill, flying shrimp and chef tricks. Yet that isn’t all Kanki Japanese House of Steaks and Sushi has to offer. Kanki Durham gives you a full experience from door to table!
The moment I stepped in to Kanki I felt welcome, the staff greeted me as if I were an old friend and made me feel like I was the only customer who mattered. No, it wasn’t because I was there as a Blogger.
I watched as each waiter and bartender interacted with other customers and it was always the same. They greeted everyone with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure their Kanki experience was the best one possible. From explaining the menus, drinks and options to customizing dishes when needed. Kanki makes sure you know you matter.
The Perfect Break
The perfect afternoon break, the business lunch at Kanki Durham offers the option to sit and dine at one of the large tables surround the teppan grills, in the lounge area or even at the bar.
At both the bar and lounge, you can have the full menu of teppan vegetable, fried rice, Hibachi style steak, chicken and shrimp as well as sushi with the convenience of a sit and dine setting.
I decided to sit in the lounge during my visit and it was not only comfortable but the decor and scenery were pleasant as well. I loved the high top tables and the bar was nearly as pretty as the Peach Moscow Mule the bartender mixed up for me.
Next up was my chance to pick one of the Business Lunch options: the Samurai-Filet Mignon & Shrimp or Banzai-Steak Chicken & Shrimp. I decided to go with the Samurai Filet Mignon & Shrimp – it was delicious! I honestly don’t even know how I picked because I’m already planning another trip back so I can try the Banzai – Steak Chicken & Shrimp. *The Business Lunch includes Japanese soup, fresh tossed salad, fried rice, teppan vegetable and Kanki sauces.
