Leslie sent me over some really great questions that cover a few parts of who I am and my site…
- Do you agree that politics and religion shouldnt be discussed in polite company?
I truly do. If we are family or very close friends then yes but if I am not familiar with the company’s background, moral foundations or beliefs then those are topics I will normally not approach at least not until we know each other better.
- What kind of writing did you do in your pre-blogging life?
I wrote poetry and creative writing. A lot of free form and free thought type writing. I also wrote sermons and inspirational essays and messages.
- As a mom of a big family, what do you say to people who make comments like, Better you than me, or I dont know how you do it!
Honestly I don’t usually respond. I still haven’t found an appropriate response. There are time where we face judgment for having a large family and I rather not give power to those words by acknowledging them. I am still working on something witty to diffuse a normally awkward silence after those sorts of comments. Lol
- What can you tell me about the friend you have had the longest?
Hmm easy question but not so easy an answer. I’ve never been one to make ‘friends’ easily. Acquaintances yes but true friends not so much. I’m very introverted (really I am) so growing up my friends were mostly family members.
I do have a friend I met in my late 20s whom I consider a sister despite how rarely we actually get to see each other. We are so alike it is funny at times and no matter how much time passes we can always pick up the phone and talk as if merely moments have passed.
- Tell me about a book you remember from childhood.
I was a bookworm to my heart. I could always escape into the places and characters I found between those pages. Often finding comfort humor and even splice within their stories. I remember reading Little Women and wishing I had sister who knew me the at they knew each other. Like Joe I saw myself as the odd ball out but oh how I envied her strength of will and character. I still love that book and can’t wait to read it with my daughters to see which sister they identify with the most.
- What was your very first job and what did you learn from that experience?
My first job was at a local drug store. My grandmother took me there the day I got my working papers and I worked there from 13 until I was nearly 19. When I left I was in the MIT or Manager In Training program. That job taught me a lot about working for the things I want in life. I had my own bank account and paid a majority of my own bills including my home phone in my room, a pager (yes I’m that old) my clothes and even a monthly amount towards the household.
- Does your family read your blog and if so does this affect what you say or how you say it?
Not that I know of. I think a few family members have stopped by here and there but none are regular readers that I know of. Still even if they were it would not impact what I say. This is my free place and honestly if they didn’t like my thing I said they could easily click the x button. Lol
- When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a lawyer and sometimes a teacher. I never saw myself as the ‘mom’ type but more corporate. Funny where life takes you and how God can prove you wrong 😉
- What is your dream job?
I’m living it. I truly enjoy Blogging and all the things it has brought me. I would love to increase my influence and eventually become a Social Media Manager for a few companies.
- What do you do to take care of yourself?
Momma Days. I go get. Mani/Pedi, go shopping or just go for a cup of coffee. I just take a few hours to breath in my own space and hear my own thoughts clearly. That gets me ready to be Momma again.
Weren’t those fun? I think so and thanks so much Leslie for giving me someone to chat with again. If you’d like to Be My Buddy just fill out the short and easy form below and pick a date 😀

I remember reading the Beverly Cleary books. I would read the several times.
I am in desperate need of a pedi. I have a gift card and I will have to put it to use.

I need on eat this point too…time to get summer ready 🙂
I may have to steal you buddy idea! LOL! What a great swap! Wow, 13 is young…but I think that it harbors responsabilty in such a way that makes a stronger adult. Reading was always my favorite hobby, and still is today and I wish I had more time for it now. Oh there is nothing better than being a momma, for years I was happy with being part of the work force and now I could not be happier as a SAHM. Have a great weekend, Tiffany!
My recent post #AskAwayFriday with April from April Noelle!
I had to think of something..Buddies were getting hard to come by…LOL
It was young but it has definitely given me a set of values I don’t think many kids nowadays (did I just type that?) have…:) Yes! SAHMs Rock! Have a great Easter!
YAY for the Buddy campaign! I love it! Great swap! I was always a bookworm too! I loved to read! You started working young, like I did. My first job was delivering newspapers at 11 years old!

Yes Yay for sure…I was getting bit desperate…LOL Thanks! Yes, my Grandmother did not play! LOL Sounds like your parents didn\’t either 🙂
I most certainly became the lawyer and now love it. For now, it is my dream job. I control what my kids do and what they learn. and I get to see every glorious or painful step they take. I'm blessed.
Yes you did!! Being a Mom is definitely the biggest Blessing there is.
I loved getting to know you this week! And I am a HUGE Little Women fan! Just re-read it a few months ago!
I had so much fun with your questions. I wish I could’ve out a few images in but I want answering between playing Nurse Momma. Thanks so much for such a great swap. Little Women is a great book!!
