It’s October and I know for many that means scary movie overload. The thing is – I. DON’T. Do. Scary. So instead I’m picking a few movies I know I’ll love for laughs, tugs at my heart strings and a bit of action. So if you already have your scary movies picked out and are looking for a few to check out in between – keep reading!
A Star Is Born
First up on my list is a movie I first heard about in Lady Gaga’s documentary Lady Gaga Five Foot Two (Check It Out On Netflix HERE). I am a total documentary addict plus a fan of her talent, passion and drive. A Star Is Born also happens to be one of my favorite movies from childhood – the Judy Garland version.
Yet that is NOT the only version. Nope. I had no idea until recently how many times and how many actresses have made this role their own. There have been three so far with Lady Gaga’s portrayal bringing it up to four. Vanity Fair even notes how every era gets the Star Is Born it deserves! I think I may agree. So far the role of Esther has been played by Janet Gaynor in 1937, Judy Garland in 1954, Barbra Streisand in 1976 and now Lady Gaga in 2018!

VENOM
If ya’ll know me at all ya’ll know I am a huge comic book action fan so the fact that Venom has made it to my list this month should be no surprise.

First Man
I have a feeling my curiosity for this movie is somehow connected to my love of documentaries an dhistory. I am so excited to get a look at what happened before that first step on the moon and I think Ryan Gosling is going to do an amazing job bringing it to the screen.

I don’t do scary movies but this time of the year I love to watch Hocus Pocus.
I knew I couldn’t be the only one…LOL Yes, see I can do that movie because it’s fun and still Halloween themed 😉
Girl, I don’t do scary either! That’s the one thing that gets on my last about October. Anywho, I’ll have to check these out.
