This time last week I was walking back to our Villa from a long day of exploration and adventure at Magic Kingdom. I was happy and excited but I was also sore, aching and tired. That’s when Hubby suggested we all head back to the room, change and walk back over to the pool. Ummm…Yay! I don’t swim but lounging poolside while the Kiddies cool off and run out the rest of their energy definitely sounded like a great plan to me, after all… who says a pool is only for swimming?
After we changed we walked the 5 or so minutes back over to what was called the Paddock Pool. This was a 2 part pool that had a side that was no deeper than 4 feet for parents and Kiddies to swim and play together and then a totally separate area which was more like a wade pool with a totally amazing water play area in the center. The water was no more than a few inches deep but in the middle there were water slides, a waterfall, water guns , etc.
We opted for the wade/play pool and found a few lounge chairs and let the Kiddies have at it! I loved this area because I didn’t have to worry about my Kiddies safety in the water because it didn’t come any further than their ankles plus I could see them at all times from my chair on the side. Now I know, why not just go swimming? Easy answer, I don’t swim. I can float and not drown but I don’t really dig the chlorine or the water in my face. So if you see me near a pool it is most times pool side, wading or at most in the sauna. Like I said, who says a pool is only for swimming?
Do you prefer to lazy lounge at the pool or dive in a get your laps in?
