Needless to say we slept in a bit on our first full day at Walt Disney World. The Kiddies were tired from the drive and Hubby and I were exhausted from our mini adventure in Downtown Disney. Yet we were still up and ready to start our adventures by 11am and I had a plan. That’s right folks my OCD was in full gear and I had maps, apps and more to help us tackle A Park A Day!
Did you see that? I said apps! Walt Disney World has this nifty little App called My Disney Experience. When I tell you this little Mickey eared beauty was a life savor for me more than once I am not exaggerating. We were able to check ride wait times, schedule our Fast Passes, Manage our MagicBands, Find Character Locations, GPS our locations in the Parks (for those of us who are mapped impaired) and even book dining reservations! **I will talk about this little helper a bit more later in the week**
We had 4 Day Park Hopper Tickets With Waterpark and Fun. This meant that we would be able to visit all 4 parks for 4 days (consecutive or not – if not they expired 14 days from first use). We were also able to visit the Waterparks for 4 days (same rules apply) and if we wanted we could exchange a Waterpark visit for a ‘fun’ option which was something like Disney Quest.
So, back to my plan. We were going to be there until Saturday this meant we should be able to visit a park a day: Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, Epcot on Wednesday, Animal Kingdom on Thursday, Hollywood Studios Friday and end our fun with the Waterpark on Saturday. Sounds great right? Yeah, that was all null and void when my Kiddies took their first steps into the Magic Kingdom and saw that beautiful blue and grey castle reaching into the sky. I took a few looks at the maps and the 6… yes SIX different lands they could explore and knew a park a day may not be possible but fun each day definitely was.
That became my new plan: fun in every possible way no matter what! At Disney World having fun is what it is all about and we definitely made sure to have our fill.
I am so glad I dropped my OCD off at the Disney Shuttle Bus Stop and decided to simply have fun with where we were. We picked rides, saw sights and stayed until we couldn’t walk anymore. We arrived at around 11:30am and were dragging out feet and sleeping Kiddies off the bus back at the resort by 7pm. It was a long day but it was full of so many moments and so much fun it made it all worth it. We didn’t see all we wanted but guess what? Tomorrow was another day and if we went to a new park or back to Magic Kingdom it was more about the moments, memories and fun than my desire to get to a park a day…
Have you ever been to Disney?
Did you have a plan or did you just jump in?

The My Disney Experience App is such a great thing to have when you go on your trip! We use it every single time we go. I'm such a planner, so I like to plan out our days before we even leave for the trip. But I'm always okay with changing plans on the spot if we have to. I think the best way to look at Disney is to have a plan, but know that it's bound to change due to weather, how you're feeling, ride refurbishments, etc. And that's okay!

It really is. I mean I\’m the App Queen but this little beauty was a life saver many times during our trip. PS – we got to eat with the Princesses!!! 😀
