MrsTee’s Must See Movies · April 2019

April may be the month of showers but it’s also a month of movies! This month is full of movies I simply must see and I can’t wait to share them with you!

The Best of Enemies · Release Date April 7th #TheBestOfEnemies

This is a movie my oldest daughter and I have been talking about a lot. She saw the preview during another movie and did a bit of research on her own. She is now very interested in seeing it and I think I may take her out of school one day to do just that.

Based on the true story of Klu Klux Klan leader C.P. Elliot (Sam Rockwell) and Civil Rights Activist Ann Atwater  (Taraji P. Henson) this movie hits close to home for many reasons. Durham is not far from our home here in Fayetteville which brings things even more into focus for both my daughter and I.

I’ve never taken my daughter to a movie with such a ‘heavy’ topic at it’s core yet in listening to her share with me the things she has already learned on her own I know she’s ready!

Shazam! · Relase Date April 7th #Shazam

The next installment in the DC Super Hero movies Shazam has been one my family has been looking forward to since we saw the very first preview! Confession: I already saw this one and I’m really glad I did. No spoilers but let’s just say it was action packed and full of a few surprises!

For those of you who are comic book sticklers – like my Hubby – there are a few details that differ from the original story. Despite that I still enjoyed the movie and would definitely recommend it for the entire family!

Confession: I’m not normally big on the animal movies. I know. I’m just not. Yet for some reason Disney’s Penguins has my full attention! I’m actually a bit excited to follow the story of Steve as he searches for his mate, family and new life. What about you?

AVENGERS Endgame · Release Date April 25th #AvengersEndgame

The wait is finally over!! I mean seriously. I don’t think I’ve been more ready for a Marvel movie than I am for Avengers Endgame. All the whispers, rumors, ideas and theories are finally going to be proven wrong or right and I’m all here for it!

Now can I just say this: if you haven’t seen the other movies don’t be that person who sits there asking for the why, how etc. Be prepared. Take a day off, call in sick – something but watch the other movies before you walk into the theater for this one because if your sitting near me I will call you out! #SorryNotSorry
