I was given the amazing opportunity to Interview Kristi Yamaguchi, Ladies’ Singles Olympic Champion, 2 time World Figure Skating Champion and a U.S. Figure Skating Champion, about her amazing initiative to help bring the love of reading to more children – The Always Dream Foundation.
I had the chance to ask 6 questions and hear from Kristi herself how she wanted to help impact Children’s Literacy as well as how we as parents can help bring a love of reading to our children every day in March which is National Reading Month with the 20/20 Reading Challenge with LeapFrog.
As a parent, we can plant the seeds for a love of reading with just 20 minutes a day!
I also have the chance to offer one of you a Signed Copy of Kristi’s book:

I loved the Phantom Tollbooth.. I never had to read it for school, but it was in my personal library at home and I read it a few times.
I started reading Patricia Cornwell mystery novels in high school and I still love them to this day! She is an amazing author and I love every single one of her books in the Scarpetta series.
I love mysteries. I may have to look her up 🙂
Great interview! I loved to read when I was little… then became a journalist and now all I do is write, read, write and read some more. My son loves books and has a huge collection that keeps growing. I wish I could make time to write a book!
My favourite books were the Enid Blyton books. Pretty sure I've read them all.
My recent post Whatâs seasonal SEO and why optimise your blog for it?
Thanks Rhonda!! Wow!! I love when your childhood passions take you into a career. We have a pretty nice collection too. There is still something about holding a book in your hands.
I loved reading the Babysitters club books.
I almost forgot about those! I just knew I wanted to be a babysitter when I grew up…LOL
Love Kristi Yamaguchi! How great that she is promoting a love of reading. One of my favorite books as a child was Little Women 🙂

I opened up this post and my daughter yelled, "Hey, Mommy! That's Kristi Yamaguchi" She's a super fan 🙂 She has the "Dream Big Little Pig" book autographed to her. She loves it.
My favorite book as a child: That's tough! I guess I would go with Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
