Today’s Challenge: Share a blogging/photography tip or tutorial.
Lately I’ve had a few conversations with my fellow Bloggers concerning ‘Blogger Burn Out’ and simply feeling as if they may not be achieving their original goals for their Blogs. This is the area I want to touch on in my Blogging Advice for today’s challenge.
When I started my Blog I came into it for varying reasons but the main 2 were to give my inner thoughts a voice and an audience and to provide a secondary source of income for my family.
Doing both of these things on one Blog can at times be very challenging. I always want to offer my readers quality true and sincere content yet I also have to be aware of my Social Media presence and impact in order to draw and give my Blog an appeal to Brands, Affiliates and Sponsors.
I have found that finding a balance between the two is key. Yes, I always write from my heart and on issues that mean something to me as a person. I try to present my Blog as a clear presentation of who I am as a person in design, content and character. At the same time, I also spend a lot of time trying to maintain contact and personal relationship with my fellow bloggers, potential network contacts and brands.
The days I begin to feel worn or burned out from these two tasks I simply take a break. I retreat to my sources of strength: my God, my family and our life together. Then I return, I regroup and I restart.
So, my advice to any Blogger facing the dreaded ‘Blogger Burn Out’ is to take the time to allow yourself to recover. It’s okay. Your Blog, your readers and your presence will survive…it’s your job to make sure you do too.

This is such great advice! With everything I like to take it one day at a time. I say that quite frequently. If hubby thought for a moment I was getting blogger burnout he would tell me to shut it down lol. He doesn't even want me thinking about producing income on mine. I do look at opportunities, but because my personality is like an all or nothing type with the tendency to want to be excellent and perfect, I just take a glance at oppportunities to make money on my blog and if I get to them I do if not, I will get something else sooner or later. I have to look at it that way for me or else I will get Blogger Burn Out stressing about not making money quick enough on my blog. 🙂

Thanks. I want it as an income simply because I’ve always been an earner…it’s more a challenge for myself. It’s not at Hubby’s request 🙂
I get an adrenaline rush from a challenge and I truly enjoy Blogging. Yet when I get tired I will rest. We all should 🙂
Thanks for the great insight… I find it hard to balance sometimes, too. At the end of the day I just want to be REAL on my blog, and when I write about something it's always because I want to share about it, not just because I think it's something someone wants to hear. It's most important to just be YOU. 🙂

Right! Never loose ourselves or our Blog’s identity trying to ‘keep up’.
Totally agree! Taking a break and just living life is great advice 🙂
Definitely…sometimes you just need to step away for a bit…
Thanks for coming by 🙂
