Summer Boredom Buster – Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress

Hello MrsTee Love Life Laughter readers! I’m excited to be here, and share a fun super simple DIY with you. I’ve been busy compiling fun activities to do with my kiddos this summer, you know {huge air quotes here} “Summer BOREDOM Busters“.

Today, I’m giving you a little sneak peek of what we’ll be doing this summer.  One of the activities I plan on doing with my kiddos this summer, MAKING ALL KINDS OF PLAY DOUGH. We’re going to make yummy-smelling play dough, glitter play dough, Kool-Aid play dough, galaxy play dough, but today I’m showing you a quick 2 ingredient play dough. The best thing about this play dough you probably already have the ingredients in your home.

Here is what you’ll need:

Cornstarch

Hair Conditioner

Optional* Food coloring

This recipe calls for a 2:1 ratio.

You need 2 cups of cornstarch and 1 cup of conditioner.

Mix the ingredients in a large bowl, and that’s IT!

We added food coloring to our play dough.

Just a helpful tip, try not to add too much dye to the play dough. If the play dough becomes watery, add a little bit of cornstarch.

The kids enjoyed playing with their super soft 2 ingredient play dough allmorning long. And this is why making play dough is on my activities-to-do list; the kids will be busy for hours 🙂 I hope you will try this with your kiddos too. XOXO
