Yesterday was amazing!! The Color Run Dream Tour gave me the opportunity to share the fun of the #Happiest5k on the Planet with my youngest Kiddies for the first time! I had a chance to have them to dream with me and make a few fun memories along the way!

Check In Party

Every year The Color Run offers runners the chance to attend the Check In Party a few days before the actual race. This fun day is meant to give you a chance to Check In plus pick up your race packet prior to the day of the race. I always take this opportunity because race day is already an early start and it just means one less thing to worry about.

This year’s Check In Party was the day before the race. It was open from 12 noon to 6 pm. I love the long hours because it gives people at work a chance to pick up too. I showed up a bit before 12 noon because I knew I wanted to skip a long line and have a chance to capture some moments to share with you guys though video. Speaking of which . . .

Once Check in was done, my Kiddies and I spent the evening getting our outfits together and coloring in our race bibs. Can I just say this new option was super fun!! We even had the chance to write in our dreams  . . .

Race Day!

The morning of the race we got up early – like I said race time is 8am. I wanted time to find a good parking space (parking is free at The Crown but it can get crowded quickly) as well as explore things a bit before heading over to the Start Line.

I’ve run in The Color Run two times before in the The Shine Tour as well as The Kaleidoscope Tour yet this year is my first year running with my 4 Kiddies. They were so excited to finally be a part of the fun from tutus to getting blasted with their favorite colors the day was one I know they will never forget.

I must admit I had to do a bit of adjusting since they are still kids and got tired a bit faster than myself of my oldest have in the past. It was no issue since The Color Run is more about the fun than the run. We simply found ourselves a spot on the side to enjoyed a banana and water break. Once they had a snack we were back on and headed towards our next color station!

Foam!

The best thing about The Color Run is each new year brings a new theme or feature. Last year in The Shine Tour it was gold shimmer color packets. This year – FOAM!! Yes people the last station before the finish line was a foam blast. I think this may have been what made the day for my Kiddies.

The Fun Continues

Crossing the finish line at The Color Run doesn’t mean the end of the fun!! Once we crossed we had an awesome time hanging out at the after party where the DJ was playing a few of my favorite jams! I even got my dance on a bit! I also had the chance to connect with my Run Your Dream Giveaway winner – Leslie of SoBeSavvy.com and her family.

So happy I had the chance to meet up with my Run Your Dream #Giveaway Winner @sobesavvy today!!! Looks like we both he fun at the Yellow Color Station… ? #AD #Sponsored #DreamInColors #Happiest5K #TheColorRun #Run #YourCrown #LiveEvents #Events #EventCoverage #5k #thecolorrun #thecolorrunNC #Blog #Blogger #BlogLife #NC #NCBlogger #NCBloggers #LifestyleBlogger #MyFayetteville #MyNC #FayettevilleNC #NC #Vlogger #NCVlogger #Vlog #Vlogger #MrsTeeVlogs #TheMrsTee

The Color Run has become a tradition for me and now my entire family. We had so much fun and as always for me making moments into memories is so important. My Kiddies are still talking about the day. They can’t wait to show off their Runner’s Medals and tell all their friends how much fun they had.

Another @thecolorrun is down in history. It was so amazing to be able to share it with my #Kiddies for the very first time!!! I have always known The Color Run is promoted as being fun for the entire family but now I know that to be absolutely true. I can’t wait for next year because I know whatever the theme may be it’s going to be one I share with my Kiddies and all of you too!

During summer this is fun event to go with the family and friends. We have the same one like this here in Knoxville. Kids and event adults were having a blast . Easy fun run fr everyone and knowing the beneficiary will goes towards the charity is the highlight for this event. This has become our yearly adventure I can’t wait this coming month.

It really is Farrah! I’m happy it’s near the start of the warm weather so it’s still not to bad heat wise. Yay!! I know you’re going to have a blast!!

I recently participated in one of these with my mother. We had a BLAST! The entire atmosphere is so fun! We are also going to make this a priority each year it comes to our area.

Oh that is such an amazing memory to share!! I’m so happy for ya’ll!! Awesome – the happiest tradition!

I have heard about the color run but have never been to one, neither as a participant or spectator. I think I will get more involved this coming year. My kiddos would enjoy it, too, I believe.

A team from my gym did a Color Run a few years ago and it was so much fun! I can’t think of a better cause to promote than that of health an happiness. At the time the theme was Green, so we came home looking like we’d been in a St Patrick’s Day parade gone wrong.

Whoa that sounds like so much fun!! Yes, I love that The Color Run is all about the happy that can come with healthy. They definitely go great together! Oh wow – I think I could do an all pink theme – not so sure about green 😉

This is so much fun. My kids haven’t done a color run like this yet, since they’re still so small. However, I heard of similar runs at the local schools around here. Maybe in a few years we’ll be able to participate. It’s so important to be able to give back and teach the kids the importance of community.

It really is. I’ve seen stroller babies in the run. It’s really when you’re ready to have them join you because The Color Run sets no age requirements for them to participate. It really is and The Color Run helps do just that with a bunch of fun added in 🙂

I just saw they will be near me at the end of the year, I am going to sign up with my son and some friends. This race is so much fun and a great way to get kids motivated to exercise. I love your guys tattos and the whole outfits with tutus. Maybe I will copy some of these ideas.

    1. TheMrsTee Avatar

That’s awesome Monica!! It’s so much fun I know you’re going to have a blast!! Be sure to create your own team – it’s even more fun!!

The Color Run is still on my bucket list of things to do. I need to find a partner to do it with though. I’m glad that you and your kids had a blast.

I hope you get to check it off soon!! You’re going to love it!! Thanks so much – it was so fun!

Aww, this is sweet! I’m glad you were able to include all the kids. Look like you guys had a lot of fun. I’m not into running. Never have been…even when I was in top notch shape. It’s just not my thing and I wish it was…kinda! I love the pics and love the foam at the end! I love your relationship with EJ, he is too cute!

    1. TheMrsTee Avatar

Thanks Lowanda!! It was really a lot of fun – despite the extra water breaks…LOL Oh we didn’t run. We would jog, sprint a bit and then walk. The best thing about The Color Run is there’s no pressure. You finish when you finish. It’s more about the fun. Thanks so much!! Yeah, he’s kinda cool 😉
