Celebrating Milestones: My Journey as a Lifestyle Blogger & Media Influencer

As a lifestyle blogger and media influencer, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to connect with brands, share unique experiences, and contribute to some memorable projects. Here’s a glimpse into my journey and the achievements that have shaped my career:

A Dickens Holiday Event Coverage – 2023
Most recently, I had the honor of supporting the 2023 A Dickens Holiday event. From an initial invitation to provide social media management, I extended coverage throughout the event day. This included real-time updates on both the A Dickens Holiday and Downtown Alliance social platforms, along with my own It’s Me, Tee Facebook and Instagram pages. Stepping fully into the spirit of the day, I also participated as a character, adding a personal touch to the festive experience. Following the event, I provided post-event recap posts and ongoing support to keep the excitement and memories alive within the community.

Embracing Motherhood and Influence One of my most cherished moments was being featured in Way To Parent magazine’s Mother’s Day issue. I shared my journey as a mother who’s passionately pursuing her dreams, offering a window into how I balance family and business. My humorous response to the question of “balance” – learning to prioritize my kids’ schedules while juggling my own – resonated with many readers and remains a heartfelt memory.

Empowering Military Spouses As a member of the Association of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs (AMSE), I’ve been honored to be spotlighted as a Black-owned Military Spouse Business and included in AMSE’s first-ever Military Spouse Entrepreneur Guide, in partnership with Stars and Stripes. AMSE’s commitment to diversity is inspiring, and it’s been fulfilling to stand alongside other military spouses in making a difference.

Honored by Bunker Labs In 2019, I was recognized by Bunker Labs as a featured military spouse in their Roundtable series. Sitting amongst talented and driven spouses proved that the hard work, persistence, and late nights were all worth it. It was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we persevere.

Reaching New Heights as a Local Blogger One unforgettable achievement was being nominated by fellow bloggers for WRAL’s Voters’ Choice Awards in 2018. Placing in the Top 5 as one of Fayetteville’s best bloggers and taking second place in this new category was a proud moment. I’m grateful for the support from our community!

Expanding My Reach in Print In December 2018, I began contributing to CityView Magazine, the premier lifestyle publication for Fayetteville, NC. My articles cover topics from parenting to lifestyle insights, and this partnership has given me a platform to share my voice with a larger audience. Writing has always been at the heart of my blog, and seeing my work in print has been a dream come true.

Co-Hosting “What’s Going On Fayetteville?” In June 2018, I joined Wade Fowler on WIDU1600AM’s What’s Going On Fayetteville? as a co-host. Together, we highlight local businesses, events, and community initiatives, making Saturdays a time to celebrate Fayetteville’s vibrant spirit. This experience was not only fun but also rewarding as we brought light to the heart of our city.

Listen To Your Mother Show In 2017, I joined the cast of Raleigh-Durham’s Listen To Your Mother Show, where I shared my story with an audience of supportive women. The experience of connecting over motherhood stories on this powerful stage will always hold a special place in my heart.

Listen To Your Mother has now become a part of who I am from this point forward. The stories and words of the women I shared this with will forever be a part of my story. I am not only honored but blessed to say we are officially Alumni of The Listen To Your Mother Show Raleigh-Durham 2017 joining the family created by LTYM Creator Ann Imig through her desire to ‘give motherhood a microphone’.

Panelist for MomsEveryday Being a panelist on MomsEveryday, a nationally syndicated TV show, allowed me to connect with mothers from diverse backgrounds. Taping episodes in 2017 and sharing candid “mom fails” and tips was a chance to connect with audiences across 48 markets. Each season enriched my perspective on motherhood and left me with unforgettable memories.

In one weekend, I joined 4 other Moms as we taped 16+ shows in 1 1/2 days for the next season of MomsEveryday. This is an experience I will never forget. I was given On-camera experience using a Teleprompter as well as opening and closing the show’s segments. The show is a casual panel style with off-the-cuff responses to topics and situations. As a Guest Panelist, I have the chance to have On-Camera experiences, Segment Introductions, and Closings as well as experience working with a Teleprompter. The season I am a part of aired January 2016 through March 2016.

Our band of crazy, fun, smart, hilarious, empathetic, and creative moms offers an online and on-air resource for all things motherhood. MomsEveryday.com is a source of trending information, reliable information, humor, advice, recipes, and mom-tested knowledge…all in one place. The MomsEveryday Show is a half-hour program featuring Mom panelists from across the country who bring their unique perspectives, personal blends of humor, opinions, and been-there-done-that stories providing reassurance to moms in 48 television markets and growing. In my last season, I had the amazing opportunity to have a one-on-one interview with the show’s Producer, Pam CoShun, in honor of Veteran’s Day. We talked about some of the sacrifices Military Families make and how it can sometimes feel like, as a spouse, you’re a single-married parent. During my final Season we recorded another one-on-one interview and the topic was a bit more personal.

Featured in iBlog Magazine In October 2015, iBlog Magazine featured my article “Blogger or Vlogger – The Same Applies.” Being published in an industry resource for influencers felt surreal, and I followed it with a feature on video content in their April 2016 issue. Contributing to iBlog was a major milestone, marking a new level in my blogging journey.

Regional Ambassador for NC Blogger Network In late 2014, I joined the NC Blogger Network as a regional ambassador and co-hosted their Blogging411 series. This role allowed me to highlight the amazing opportunities available to bloggers in North Carolina and share knowledge and experiences with a community of talented content creators.

Guest Contributor and Featured Writer Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to contribute to NextGen MilSpouse, Ten To Twenty Parenting, and ThreadMB. Sharing my thoughts on topics like military life and parenting has been both humbling and inspiring.

Exploring Fayetteville with #FAYTour15 In 2015, as a part of the #FAYTour15 Blogger Team, I showcased the vibrant culture of Fayetteville for the Fayetteville Area Conventions and Visitors Bureau. Our coverage received millions of online impressions and was even featured on Yahoo Finance, celebrating the uniqueness of Fayetteville and Cumberland County. Our coverage was featured on Yahoo as part of their Yahoo Finance Features…

“The bloggers were active on social media throughout the visit — they tweeted, sent messages on Instagram, they “vlogged” and shared Facebook messages that cumulatively garnered 7.2 million impressions for Fayetteville and Cumberland County.”
