This weekend the Creator of ArmyWife101, Krystel, gathered a few army wives and their friends for an event that was definitely worthy to be called a Bash! We all met up at The Shops Of Main Street for fun, food and most of all a chance to find new friends.
The event was one designed to bring her Readers, Followers and Friends together for a day just for them. She did just that. We had an amazing time meeting and getting to know a lot of local women entrepreneurs, business women and wives all with ambition in mind.
The Shop On Main Street is very much like a higher end indoor flea market where you can find unique and hand crafted products that will definitely make you plan your next visit before you even leave the store.
When I arrived, my first stop was at the Village Coffee House and Bakery for one of the best Iced Mochas I’ve had. It was hand brewed and pressed right in front of me and I could definitely taste the care put into making it. As I waited, I saw the amazing designer cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats they offer on a daily basis. This is definitely a place I plan on adding to my favorite spots.
Coffee in hand, I started to make my way along the aisles of different booths and the unique products they offered. The cozy atmosphere and the fun colorful chalkboard signs for each booth makes it feel more like a local hang out than a store. The first booth that caught my attention was Recycled Fashion who takes Recycle and Reuse and makes it a part of your daily fashion with earring that can be made out of some of your favorite cans.
As I turned around I saw the prettiest hand paint wine bottles and jars. They were made into hanging art with candles inside or quotes painted on them and these were all creation from the Splash of Color Studio.
The Shops of Main Street is full of unique finds just like this and the prices are definitely budget friendly.
After I wandered a bit making note of the items I knew I wanted to take home, we spent the rest of the day simply being women and having fun. The event was catered by On The Border who definitely gave me a treat with my first tastes of Mexican food. I am not one for spicy but they had choices for all tastes and I know that I will be requesting a bit of Mexican for my future Date Nights 🙂
Krystel also had a few amazing sponsors who blessed each of us with a bag full of goodies and treats:
In true Blogger form, I waited to open my Bag until I could grab a photo but trust me it was definitely worth the wait!
Oh did I mention I WON the Giveaway (there were many prizes….) and even though I wouldn’t punish anyone with my baking skills my niece is begging to get her hands on this!
This was my second event with Krystel from ArmyWife101 (check out the shopping fun of my first one) and I can tell you I am already anxious to attend a third! I am so grateful for the opportunity to connect and engage with such amazing women who are reaching for their goals, dreams and passions without compromise. Thank you all for being the kind of women who support each other along the way.
