#WordlessWednesday Old School vs. New School

WordlessWednesday | MrsTeeLoveLifeLaughter.com

It’s here. That time of the summer when all our fun plans have been checked off and I am left with few options to silence the songs of boredom. How do I battle it? Today we had a bit of Old School vs. New School in ways of play and to my joy both were successful in giving me one more day of sanity.

New School

How are you dealing with the end of summer boredom?

Do you have any old school vs. new school activities?

I think a balance of both is great because now a days (can\’t believe I just said that) technology is necessary to know. LOL shoot my Kiddies know how to work some thing better than I do. 😉

    Love it!
Old School = story time and using scooters on the driveway
New School = Wild Kratts on TV

Oooh scooters! I could never get the hang of mine but I had a blast trying… 🙂

Wild Kratts? I\’m gonna have to check that one out…

In our household its a combination of both which I think is needed for him to be a well rounded person. In this time & age a child needs to be expose to technology too. =) #ww

Same here Merlinda… I feel exactly the same way! 🙂

Kids need to run outside and play. I'm all for the old school. . . and as for school, the kids started back on Monday.

Me too. Technology is fun but sometimes you just need a clean piece of sidewalk and chalk.

  11. Skye@PlanetJinxatron Avatar

My sister and I would play hopscotch, except we never actually knew the rules! So I guess it was just jumping with chalk squares…

    1. MrsTee Avatar

LMBO. I don\’t think I know the right rules either. We kinda make them up as we go 😉

I hadn't thought about Hop Scotch in so long. It was one of my favorite playground games as a kid. My old elementary school demolished the playground that was there when I was a kid and it made me so sad. We had balance beams and giant tires to crawl on. Those were so much fun!

    1. MrsTee Avatar

Mine too! I didn\’t play it at school but always on the sidewalk in front of my Moms house… LOL

I have been turning mine loose outside with Daddy – burn off their energy. We recently restricted all electronics – it's been a struggle but we are getting there.

The outdoors is definitely a great energy burner. We limit tablets to rainy days and evenings when the bugs come out LOL 🙂

I love Wordless Wednesdays! I used to participate in one a while back as I LOVE pictures … of all kinds … and some times a picture is all that is needed to tell the story. You've inspired me to start back as of tomorrow! Thank you.
