Fayetteville Area Transportation & History Museum

Fayetteville Area Transportation & History Museum: Online, Facebook

If you love museums then you will love the Fayetteville Area Tramsportation Museum. Located only steps away from the heart of Downtown Fayetteville this museum gives a glimpse into the history of the trains, cars & more!

Located in the beautifully restored 1890 Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad Depot, the museum offers two floors of engaging, artifact-filled exhibits. The rich history of our area is told from pre-history through the early 20th century. Favorite spots in the museum include the steamboat interactive and the recreated Station Agent’s Office. Exhibits are frequently rotated.

The museum has new exhibits, activities and tours happening throughout the year!

Arnette Park

Arnette Park:  Online, Facebook

One of my new found ways to spend a day is exploring the outdoors. I’m boran and raised in the Bronx but since moving to North Carolina I’ve come to appreciate the simple beauty of being outside.

This 100-acre park is a combination of developed facilities and natural woodland and is the home to the  “Christmas in the Park” in December. It is open to the public daily from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. from March through October. Winter hours (November through February) are 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Picnic pavilions, ball fields and more make this a popular gathering spot for families and large groups. The one mile long perimeter road is ideal for biking and walking.

The Climbing Place was one of my very first adventures in Fayetteville. I remember the pride I felt after I made it up the wall and rang the bell. That’s me y’all ? 🙂

#MYFayetteville - One Place At A Time #FAYTour15 | TheMrsTee.com

The Climbing Place (TCP) is North Carolina’s oldest and most well know climbing gym. Our gym was designed in the early 1990’s when plywood was considered the best material to build with. The Climbing Place has withstood the test of time and to this day is going strong! Over the years, TCP has added many new walls and features in order to meet the high demands of today’s modern climbers and boulders.

Currently, we have 20,000 square feet of climbing and bouldering, six auto belays, a portable climbing wall and soon our first top out boulder. We offer more than 80 top ropes as well as lead climbing for the more advanced climbers. One of the more interesting features is our 300 foot gym traverse and 600 feet if you go back.  We have a dedicated 2,000 square foot climbing area for birthday party and much more.

Xscape Factor $$

Xscape Factor: Online, Facebook, Instagram

Did you even know we had our very own escape room experience right here in Fayetteville? I’m telling you we have some pretty awesome things to do and this one is perfect for our budget friendly list!

Xscape Factor is a veteran-owned and family-run business. Lee Bowers is a retired vet and his wife Summer is still active Military.

After going to our first escape room in June of 2016 and then challenging one every week while traveling up and down the east coast, we decided to open our very own.

Our dream and passion became a reality on September 2, 2016.

Why Escape Rooms?

We’re all about family, so escape rooms were an obvious choice for us. They’re fun, they’re challenging and everyone has to work together. Your kids will put down their phones without a fight!

We write our own content – there’s nothing canned – and we update or add-on chapters to the stories all the time. So the puzzle you solved last year isn’t the same this year.

We enjoyed doing escape rooms so much, we figured our friends in Fayetteville would love them too. So here we are!
