5 NC Podcasts You Need to Hear

Recently I decided to give podcasts a try and realized the power of a spoken word can have just as much – at times more -impact than when written.  Podcasts have become popular extensions of brands and businesses. Giving a new outlet for ideas, tips and even support of fellow businesses.

Podcast Styles

Podcasts can take different approaches to the style of their shows:

Interview style where they simply invite a guest for ask and answer style questions.

Panelist format where they have several guests on at once to discuss a specific topic.

Storyteller style when the host or guest simply shares a story or experience with you directly in a one on one exchange.

No matter the style I have come to enjoy the peace of simply listening to different channels and not only having the opportunity to learn but engage with them as well.

Podcasts are much like a Blog or YouTube Channel offers listeners the opportunity to rate and react to the content they are presented through comments and shares.

NC Podcasts

I love finding local talent to support and share and podcasts are no different. After listening and searching I’ve found 5 NC podcasts I couldn’t keep to myself. These five are podcasts you definitely need to hear. Whether you’re looking for business tips, stories of encouragement, faith or to simply chat about life these channels cover it all.

I was so amazed at the way Ruben was able to lead Alyssa to her story and the point of sharing it without the process feeling like an interview. As he talked and she shared I felt more like I was sitting in on a chat with friends than listening to a podcast – I loved it!

Ruben seeks out the small business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals in and around Fayetteville and gives them space to not only share their purpose but their passions.

Crossroads Church

“We see that God works in powerful ways when people come together on a regular basis to worship, pray, and enjoy life together. We often find redemption and healing in the midst of our friends. By spreading God’s love one neighborhood at a time means that our Gospel Families are the way that we can have the largest impact on our city.” – Crossroad Church

There are times when getting out the door and in a church isn’t always easy. Crossroads Church offers their podcast as a resource for staying a part of the learning even when you can’t make it to the lesson.

The church has three locations throughout Fayetteville: north, south, and west. The Crossroads podcast gives you the opportunity to hear sermons from each location covering the monthly topics and themes.

Growing my faith is one of the ways I stay grounded in life and listening to the Crossroads podcast allows me to do that no matter what the day or where I am.

The Linda Mendible Show – Linda Mendible

“Behind the scenes with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, moms, working professionals and amazing people pursuing their passions and going for their dreams.”
– Linda Mendible
I first met Linda at a Blogger Meetup in Raleigh where she presented with her young son on her hip and her notes in her hand. I was amazed! This woman was definitely going places.
In the years since, I’ve watched as Linda has created and developed herself as a Blogger, Entrepreneur and now Podcaster.
Linda’s show brings the voices of other women, moms, and entrepreneurs to the mic giving them the chance to share their how and why. Linda’s has a relaxed format that allows her guests to feel at ease as they tell her (and us) how they have grown their business and how we can do the same.
