Galentine’s Day is on February 13th has become a day for friends – gal friends to be exact. Galentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for a girl’s day (or night) out and thankfully there’s plenty happening to make the most of it!

First, let’s dig in to how this whole Galentine’s Day thing started. In 2010,
Leslie Knope of Parks and Recreation – yup the show folks! Decided she wanted a day that was all about her girl friends. February 13th or Valentine’s Day Eve was the day she picked and a alcohol fueled brunch was her celebration of choice.

Although the first Galentine’s was a brunch, over the past 9 years, this made up holiday by a made up character has become a real way to celebrate the power of female friendship. Evolving from brunch to paint parties, dinners, movies and more Galentine’s Day has become many women’s second favorite February day!

The Triangle Rock Club – Fayetteville is giving ladies the chance to climb the wall – literally. Their Women On The Wall Galentine’s Day event is being held on February 13th 6 pm – 7:30 pm.
Do you often find yourself only climbing and training with “the guys”? While women can learn a lot from our male climbing partners, they can also benefit from the enthusiasm and camaraderie of an all-female environment!
Triangle Rock Club’s Women on the Wall program is designed for women who are excited to take their climbing to the next level, learn new techniques and skills, and meet some awesome female climbing partners along the way!
